Does anyone know of any places that give discounts on major purchases for twins or other multiples. I need to buy the boys new carseats and am trying to find any way to save a buck. I actually have to 3 one for dd too. : I want to get Britax Marathon's for all so it will be pricey.

TIA

Babies R Us will give you 10% off each large item if you're buying for multiples. We're going to be getting 3 Boulevards (sp?) very soon for our new babies and it'll save us about $90. Not much when you're spending $900, but it's something, kwim?

Yeah, we bought our car seats at ToysRUs with a twin discount. 10 percent is 10 percent I guess.

The stride rite stores in my area have a discount for multiples. And I've heard that a lot of independent stores will give you one if you ask.

However, I've found that buying stuff used and/or inexpensively on ebay is usually even cheaper.

There are some great multiple discounts here. Most are for twins and more (multiples), but there are a few for just triplets and greater.

The Right Start offers 10% (I think it was) off as well. You just have to mention it.

Has anyone gotten the discount from BRU via an online purchase? I asked if you could do that when I was in the store recently and they said no - store only - but I'm wondering if maybe that's innaccurate. I'd really like to get cuter fabrics (we need carseats too) then what they have in the store (priorities!).

Nope, it IS store only. The manager has to approve the discount in person. They are strict about it. A pain, I know, but they don't want the staff to be too lax with it, or they will get rid of it entirely! (According to the manager of our local BRU)

We got two Britax Boulevards from elitecarseats.com You don't pay sales tax and they offer free shipping, plus I asked for a multiples discount and they gave me an extra 5% off. It ended up being a bit cheaper than Babies r Us since I didn't have to pay sales tax.

One Step Ahead and it's sister company Leaps and Bounds offers multiples discounts. Just tell the operator you have twins (or more) when you order.

Glad you liked it Dana and Istillluvher.

Check out her site itself. She has some funny clips of her kiddos and some great stories. My fave is the "monkey" video. :
