Hi Mamas~
I am finally getting on the computer to post! I was induced (water broken) on Saturday 10/7 around 9am and the babes were born that afternoon. I birthed both babies vaginally without drugs, one head first and the 2nd breech.

Introducing:

Baby Boy, Finley Paul Austin born at 4:18pm, 8 lb 2 oz, 20 inches
and
Baby Girl, Jade Aurora Austin born at 4:56pm, 6 lb 15 oz, 21 inches

Both babies are doing great! We have had a few hard nights with a few much easier nights mixed in to keep us going. Must be nature's way! My milk came in on day 3 and I was able to tandem nurse for the first time that same day. It is so much easier to nurse them at the same time as I can get up and take a bathroom break easier. It feels a little like I've been living in this recliner for 6 days. After my milk came in I got a clogged duct which has kept me down for a few extra days with the chills and achiness, but I am feeling much better now.

I finally figured out how to nurse both babies in bed at the same time without getting up. Whew! Now everyone is sleeping so much better.

Here's our birth story written by dh: www.tcaustin.blogspot.com

Mama to Ainsley (7/01) , Finley (10/06) and Jade (10/06)

Congratulations!!!! Those are great weights. Awesomw job nursing. I love it when mamas nurse their babies, especiallt twins. Your are awesome to figure out how to nurse them together so soon. It took me until they were 2.5 months. Mine were much smaller though. Anyways, great job! You are awesome! Keep up the great work. And congratulations again!!!!

Congratulations on the birth of your twins. Excellent weights and way to go birthing them both naturally, and a breech one, too! I have a boy and a girl and they were similar weights to yours, with the boy being much bigger.

Blessed mama of four
