WEIRD!

It was the perfect day, too - my husband took the day off, I worked in the city (I've recently started freelancing a few days a week at my old job) and got home at dinnertime. After dinner we were playing in the livingroom and Katie was practicing standing on her own. She was giggling like crazy and took a step, then a little half step, then plopped down and cried. Lather, rinse repeat - she giggled maniacally every time, and then screamed in frustration. So cute. We all clapped, including Lilly, who we presumed had no clue what she was clapping for.

Then an hour later, up in their room, Lilly was doing the same thing, without the giggles. She was dead serious! Took 1 step, and plopped down, twice. It was so exciting!

I can't believe they did it at the same time, while both of us were there. So happy!!!

Betsy, mama to beautiful, strong MZ twins Lillian and Kate, born 11 weeks early on January 10, 2006.

Not so weird!

My twins also took their first step on the same day as well.

I know a woman who has an identical twin, and she and her sister got their first period within 12 hours of each other. I always thought that was pretty freaky, but maybe it is common.

Glad y'all were both at home to celebrate their first steps!

I think mine walked on the same day...I have to check the baby books, I can't remember. Are they MZ? If they are, you might find that they'll be doing a lot of things at the same time. Mine do & it's so much fun to watch.
