Quoted: 0 Post(s) follicle that was of "acceptable size" to the doctor?

I was on 100mg of clomid. Went in for follicle scan and dr said there was only one follicle he considered acceptable, so we didn't do an IUI that cycle. It was our second on clomid, with IUI the first time. Even though I only had one good sized follicle, it was much bigger than my biggest ones last cycle.

So anyway, we concieved a baby au naturale (minus the clomid, LoL)

My pg symptoms this time are SO much stronger than last time. I know that doesn't mean diddly squat, but it had me worried. My husband's maternal grandmother was a twin, and my SIL said that means it's his generation to have twins.

Is that true? What are the chances I could have concieved twins? I really am not hoping, praying, asking, or trying for twins, but we're not doing an u/s for another 10 weeks or so, and I just wanted to see what the chances were of actually having twins.

Thank you!

Jesus-loving wife to my best friend and love of my life , mama to my boys and and our little one, who was blessed enough to go straight into the arms of God (11/09)

Well, I had 2 follicles and got triplets, so it's always possible!

its possible. any more than one follicle says a much bigger possibility. of course they can split as well but more than one even not so great ones up the chances of multiples a lot.

and...twins cant skip generations, especially since its not the man carrying but the man whos lineage has twin ancestors.. it would be more plausible if it were a family of women who every other generation regulary double (or more) ovulate and the next nin the family ovulates normally or something.

anyway good luck

I conceived fraternal twins w/one follicle. The best my RE could figure was that between my monitoring u/s and my trigger shot, another follie must have decided to have a growth spurt.
