I'm 11 weeks pregnant with #5 and #6, and just curious to know if anyone watched the growth of their belly this early on in their pregnancy?

I didn't find out about my twins until 20 weeks. Just wanted to say congrats! I'm also expecting #5 and 6!

I'm having triplets, not twins, but my fundus was 18cm at 11 weeks.

Congratulations!

Thanks for congratulations - and also back to you both!

Wow - 18 cms
Mine is around the size it would be for a singleton at 16/18 weeks, but I've not actually taken the tape measure out yet. I normally measure way under average the whole way through, so it's particularly fun to see how I grow this time.

I've had two dreams of triplets, but think it's my sub conscious.lol. My three year old says there are two boys and two girls in there. hehe.

I'm normally avidly *not* looking at measurements and weights because we had a hard time with number 2 and 3 being told they were small etc etc etc - and they were just fine. *I'm* the one who is 'small'.

Multiples bumps, because they vary so much and are unpredicatable, seem to be a fun measurement if that makes sense?

I measured as soon as I could find something to measure, and that's what clued me in to having twins. At 11 weeks I was over half-way to my navel.

At 16 weeks, my MW palpated and said I felt 17-18-ish. I didn't really make that first growth spurt until 20.

At 14 weeks I was measuring 18 weeks. I kind of knew something was up before that though because I just felt bigger and started wearing maternity pants at 9 weeks.

I've been consistently measuring at least 12 weeks ahead since I was 14 weeks! Crazy, huh??? Last check I measured 37 weeks, I was really 24w.

I dunno where I am going to put these girls in a month or two.

I'm almost 38 weeks and nearly 50cm! It's amazing, really!

I'm 22 weeks, measuring 30 weeks....with ONE!!! LOL

My friend was right on track most of her pregnancy until around 20 weeks when she slowly started getting bigger than normal. She knew from the begining it was twins though (she had IVF so they were doing weekly ultrasounds). She actually looked pretty much the same with her singletons at the same gestation. The twins were her first, she had two singletons within another 2 years. (ie her twins are 2, she has a 1 year old, and a 3 month old)

And 18 cms at 11 weeks...WOW.

I measured 18 cm at 16.5 weeks... I keep thinking I want to get bigger! With what some of you are saying, it seems like I may have a growth spurt soon.

Don't worry, you will! I grew soooo much between 19 and 24 weeks! It was really mind-blowing!

At 14 weeks I was 20cm and then by 17 weeks I was 28 cm. I measured 11cm ahead of what a singleton pregnancy should be until the end when I got up to 54cm at 40 weeks!

Where do you find what a singleton fundal height should be? And how to measure it?

I believe you measure from the pubic bone to the top of the fundus, in centimeters. The number of centimeters roughly corresponds to the number of weeks in pregnancy in a singleton pregnancy. So right now I am measuring 40 cms from my pubic bone to the top of my uterus, which means I measure about 40 weeks in an average singleton pregnancy. But I'm really only 26 weeks pregnant with the twins. Make sense?

Yeah, starting at 20 weeks, for a singleton, you should measure roughly the same cm's as you are weeks pregnant. ie I'm 22 weeks, I *should* be 22 cm's. Usually around 38 weeks though it stops growing like that...in theory....because the baby starts dropping lower, but for me I usually measure right on at that point.

I didn't find out I was having twins until 23 weeks and I measured 30 cm. At 37 weeks I measured 56 cm. I look at pictures now and think "How did I carry that belly around!" I was huge!

I am 34.5 weeks and measuring about 45cm. I've been about 10-11 weeks ahead since my OB started measuring.
