You can hoist two toddlers into your arms from the floor.

You can find your keys and unlock your front door while you are holding two toddlers.

You can buckle a carseat, hand over a snack, and wipe a dirty face at the same time.

You are floating on air because the twin bond is an amazing, special experience.

. . . you are surprisingly up-to-date on MDC: Nursing two = not much else getting done!

Or: you decide that tossed-about pasta and rice are a LOT easier to sweep off the kitchen floor if you just let them "air dry" overnight!

Or you have babies that are so used to hearing somebody else cry that they DON'T wake up anymore.

You wake to your 2 year olds wrestling one another for first shot at the boob....

laughup Yeah, our family has spent the last 2 years taking at least twice as long to walk through a mall and worse yet the dreaded grocery store.......seems ppl know how much I hate grocery shopping so they choose those times to argue with me that my girls must be identical when they are in fact fraternal twins, and I just love the continual flow of advice from parents of singletons on how to handle twins because their sister's cousin's brother's niece had a set of her own 25 years ago! ACK! I'm super bias, I think my twin girls are THE cutest twins but plse comment and/or admire if you must from a distance and let me do my groceries! We mama's of twins have to squeeze 37 hours into a 24 hour day, not much time for socializing in the produce section.

1) You hear moms of singletons complain about how hard it is to get stuff done with a baby and think (but don't say), "wuss."

2) You hear moms of singletons complain about how hard it is to get stuff done with a baby and feel overwhelming empathy because you now know just how hard mothering can actually be.

3) You have both of the above reactions at the SAME TIME.

No!No! Sushi rice is WAY worse than couscous. It sticks to vertical surfaces as well as horizontal ones. You definitely have to let it dry overnight to remove it.

That doesn't go away after you have them. And DO NOT try to bounce on a trampoline! :

We have a huge trampoline on the property that we share w/the landlords. I have steered clear of it. Also, don't let your DH jump on a trampoline while you are pregnant with twins; you'll end up in the ER so that he can get x-rays of his neck vertebrae, but everyone will be staring ominously at you and your huge belly when you walk into the hospital

Thank goodness for indoor dogs over here too! Toot comes around and cleans up the baby barf for us. All three of them will lick clean the babies hands after eating solids. They are such good helpers. :

There was a set of triplets in the NICU at the same time as our girls. They shared the step-up room towards the end, and their parents had two older kids too, like us. I cannot tell you how many times I think of their mom when I'm feeling overwhelmed, and sternly tell myself to man up and stop whining . . .

Yes, I have a friend with triplets and a 2-year-old and I think of her often when I'm feeling overwhelmed

My contribution:
...when you realize at 8 PM that the pants and shirt you were wearing all day don't match at all. And then you think about it for a second and realize you don't care.
