my DS is 3 1/2 and DD is 15 months. My hubby and I have so many opportunities in front of us as far as employment goes. We are in an excellent place financially, and he is considering starting his own business. He asked me if I would be willing to work at Starbucks enough to qualify for benefits(he has diabetes) and can't get accepted any other way than through company benefits, and allow him to work from home, which would also allow him more time with the kids, household duties, etc. From the time my DS was 16 months old, I have been a SAHM, and I like it, but like most SAHM, I have my moments where I want to rip my hair out and getting a break would be nice. I'm not sure what to think about it. I want my DH to be happy, and he's told me that if I don't really want to go to work, he doesn't want me to, but we just have so many opportunities and options because of our financial state right now, I just really want to do the right thing for the whole family. I want to homeschool, and so that would end up being a joint effort, and giving up some of the responsibilities to him as far as parenting and discipline, and just the daily schedule would be hard for me, since I pretty much have 100% control over it right now. I think you only have to work 20 hrs to qualify for benefits at Starbucks..anyone ever work there or do work there know the numbers and what insurance is like? I used to work there, but I was like 19 or 20 and still under my parents insurance and never even needed it at the time.

If you are looking for a legitimate opportunity with no investment, no sales, no telemarketing, full training, team support, all resources, no inventory, not an MLM, no cold-calling.  If you want to be partnered with a debt free, almost 28 year old company with a BBB rating of A, then visit our site and leave your information and we will contact you to give you all the information you need to see if it is as good a fit for you as it is for me and my team of moms who work from home.  startnew2day.com

I am not working at all yet. DH ended up getting his dream job at Ferrari! Still less pay but we are in a financial place that we can handle it. Considering watching a kid or two out of the house since that seems like the most convenient situation. Me bringing in a little money would allow us to be able to go do more fun things with the kids, and that's what I care about!

I've been at Trader Joes for seven years and homeschool my kids. A lot of days I'll work 5am-10am and be home mid morning with the whole day ahead of us. I really like my job and it's really mom friendly. I'm glad your DH got his dream job. Sounds cool!!!!!!!

I think it depends on experience but probably somewhere around ten bucks. They give raises often and cap out comparably to union grocers I'm guessing somewhere around $20 I think, with management making significantly more. Not sure if they pay differently in lower cost of living areas? I'm pretty sure that you don't take a pay cut if you move to a cheaper area though. They really are an amazing company. Not publicly traded, I think that's why they are so awesome.

kept my answer pretty general because I'm not sure what's proprietary info KWIM

since this is a public website

I work part-time (4x7hours a day : 28h week) and love it! I work evenings so I get to spend all morning and a part of the afternoon with DS! And DH is watching him when I'm not there so I don't feel like a stranger is raising him. I ride my bike to work so I get exercise and it's pretty much my only social time I get since I don't really have friends and my family is far away. But you could only work 3 days a week and make your 20h right? I think it's worth it and will do you good, but hey, I only have 1 and he's 7 months, so no homeschooling, taht I don't know how that would go! Keep us posted!
