Hello,
I´m a postdoc from Australia (Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane) and I´m conducting a research study into the child feeding practices of mothers and fathers with young children titled ‘How and what parents feed their children: an international study’.

I´m hoping to recruit some Amerian mothers and/or fathers via this forum who have a child between the age of 1 and 10 years and are happy to complete a 45 minute online questionnaire.

To participate in this study please use the link which will take you first to the Participant Information Sheet providing more details about our study and then straight to our online questionnaire: http://survey.qut.edu.au/f/179411/4ef1/

If you participate, you will go into the draw to win 1 of 10 AUD$25 book vouchers from Amazon.

If you are not eligible yourself, please feel free to distribute this link to parents you know that might be interested in participating.

Should you have any questions about this study please contact me via email:

[email protected]

Thank you so much for your support.
Kind regards,
Elena Jansen

I will try to remember to do this tomorrow, as well.  45 minutes is a hecka long survey, but I do love research findings AND prizes....

Done! I'm really curious to know what specifically you're looking at and what your findings are when you're done. Will you be sharing your results with participants?

Side note: my daughters' name is Elena too!

It didn't take me anywhere close to 45 minutes to do.

Thanks LTurtle :twothumbs

We will not be reporting any individual responses but I will report my findings in academic journals and hopefully at some conferences as well.

I might try putting together an abstract that I can post here, if this thread is still going then :)

We were hoping to be able to conduct some comparative analysis between mothers and fathers but until now hardly any dads completed the questionnaire. Mom's seemed to be more interested in participating in research ;)  If you know of any more parents with children between 1-10 years old, we are still looking for more participants, so please feel free to pass on the link to the survey.

Thanks so much again for supporting our research study.

PS: Your daughter has a very nice name ;)

Thanks again to everybody who has already participated :yeah

We require a few more participants to reach our target goal. So if you would like to complete our questionnaire or know anybody who might be willing to participate, please pass on the survey link: http://survey.qut.edu.au/f/179411/4ef1/

It is really an amazing effort that everybody has done.

Thanks heaps,

Elena

Hello again.
I just wanted to thank everybody who has participated in our study for their support.
We will continue data collection until mid June since we still need a couple more parents with a child between the age of 3-5 years.
At the end of June we will then notify the winners of the vouchers.

We really appreciate your effort.
Have a lovely day,
Elena
