No joke! Well, her husband did. They had a work pool, and freaking won! 200 million split between 10 guys! My mom's boss is a multimillionaire!!! The ridiculous thing is my mom and all her co-workers and her boss had a pool too- why couldn't they have won darn it!

My mom loves her boss, so shes sad at the prospect of her quitting her job.

I will go back to feeling guilty for splurging on that $4 latte now...

Amy, mommy to Ava, 6, Gavin, 4, Lila, 2, and Baby #4 due in early November! joy.gif

Just saw it on Regis & Kelly. It comes out to 14 million each before taxes. So, maybe they'll end up with 11 million.
Not bad for paying $5 towards a ticket!

That's so cool. We've been buying a ticket every couple weeks lately, dh hates his job and times are tight so we figure why not.

ahhhhhh that certainly sounds soooooooooooo unfair.

i remember this guy going to a 7/11 at midnight for a hotdog. the clerk didnt have $99 change to return after the hotdog. so the guy just bought 99 lottery tickets. and he won!!! millions!!! soooooooo unfair.

BUT i have also heard so many people's lives change for the worst aftr wining. so maybe not winning might be a good thing for me.

ETA oh maybe she is a millionaire now :embarrased not when she started.

you never know. she might continue working. some do.

one guy at home depot continued working as he was not too many years from retirement. maybe 5 or so.

I loved this part on the CNN article

Wow!!

I remember many years ago, an older couple won like $17 million or so in this little farm town not far from us - he worked at the pork processing plant, and she worked at a nursing home. When they were interviewed, they seemed so stunned by it all - he was like, Well, now I can fix up my old truck.... (pause, bright look) Hey, I reckon I'll get me a new truck! It was cute to watch.
