Or what's on your 'must-have' list this year. It's getting warmer outside in most parts of the country, so it's almost time to replinish our sandals for the Spring/Summer. I'm looking for something comfy, like a Keen, Teva or Simple.

So tell me what's on your list this year??

We've had these discussions in the past, so I'll see if I can find some of them, just to provide that input.

I used to say that Wolky were my favorite, but they've changed since I got my first pair 10 years ago. I got some Birkenstocks last year that I really liked, and I still wear my old Wolkys.

I've tried Chacos and rainbow flip flops. Both are "eh" I do like the Chacos for hiking because they stay on really well. But my tried and true are Gizeh Birkenstocks http://www.birkenstockusa.com/produc.../sandals/gizeh I've had them for 4 years, wear them every summer and they've just gotten better!

I used to be a Birkenstock devotee, but the fact that I could not wear them to work kind of killed that.

Now I'm all about the SAS. I've bought the same pair of sandals 2 years running and probably will again this year, especially since the straps are all adjustable and they have super comfy foot beds - both things that will come in handy during a pregnant summer.

My favorites. Just did a 5 mile hike with 30lbs of backpack and baby in them and my feet felt fine. They were also the only shoes I could wear during the poofy footed days of pregnancy. I did at least a mile a day in them all summer long.

ETA: I like that they're slip on because it makes it much easier to take them on and off while holding a baby. Or climbing in and out of a tent.

This season I'm on a Frye kick & got these 3 styles-they're so durable that they're totally worth the investment and I LOVE them:

http://www.zappos.com/product/7450293/color/309
http://www.zappos.com/product/7283516/color/1909 (ok, these aren't really sandals but I love them so!)

I wear Birks to kick around the house and yard-but rarely would I go out in public in them.

I like Merrells and similar MEC brand sandals from Mountain Equipment Co-op.

All of mine have been the kind where you can remove the back strap or leave it on. So with one pair of sandals, you can switch back and forth between sport sandals and slip-ons.

I love Chacos for comfy and casual, but my new favorite dress up sandals are Mohops! (I got the mid-height heel, about 2 inches.)

I am astoundingly lucky! Mother to my beloved child since 01/06/07. Fighting cancer since 09/06/07.

I've been wearing Tevas for years and really like them. They are not dressy like those pictured in the pp's but they are really comfy and last forever. I have pairs from years ago that were worn often and are still in good shape. I started wearing Tevas almost exclusively after my children were born because I started having pain from spurs in my arches and heels. I tried many shoes including NB gym shoes as the foot doctor recommended. My feet feel better in the Tevas than in any other shoe I've tried so far. (They make a few styles w/out good arch support, I find those less comfortable.) HTH

Those are some really neat sandals you guys all have linked!

Anybody have any leads on some that still look nice (could possibly go with an ankle-length skirt or sundress) but still be pretty functional/workhorse-like? I'm thinking being able to hose the shoes off after I venture into the garden and get all dusty/dirty... I don't think leather would be super fond of getting a shower every other week or so. And my cheapy rubber Nike slip-ons are starting to fall apart after 3-4 years now...

I just bought a pair of these Merrell's this week and oh my, I never want to take them off!

http://www.merrell.com/US/en-US/View...?galleryId=W-F

I'm in love!!!

I have had Merrell's before that I loved, too, so yeah, I'm a fan of Merrell's, even though they are quite pricey, they are really well made and extremely supportive for sandals.

Have not found cheap sandals that don't indent on me. (the soles) taking notes on expensive ones. Do any of them hold up to um.. more than 140 weight?

The SAS do. I weigh a lot more than that, and I wear them daily during the warm weather and pretty much right up until my toes are gonna freeze. I'm looking to buy my third pair, but the first two pair are still in really good shape - I just roll my foot so they get weird wear patterns. But they have great support for someone like me who can't stand to be on my feet for hours in most shoes.

The big thing for me is that SAS makes shoes in wide widths, which most of these other companies that are being recommended don't seem to.

The one "drawback" that some people may have with SAS though is that they do not sell online, it's part of their business model. You have to find a local store to buy them. If you're near a big city that shouldn't be too hard though.

The pair I linked to hasn't indented and I've only recently gotten down to 150. I was over 160 for most of my wearing time in them.

Keens, hands-down!

I bought a second pair for this summer so I can wash the usual pair more frequently, out of deference to dh's sense of smell. (Meaning, if you're super-sweaty like me, you might need to wash them regularly, but that's true for any fabric sandal...)
