I use q-tips for the outside of ears and currettes (with loop or scoop) for the canal for myseld, DS, and DD. Dh uses q-tips every day.

We use q-tips, once every week or whenever the ears start to feel (or look) gunky.

I don't see how a q-tip could shove wax in your ear worse than ear plugs! I've been thinking about this lately--my DH used to have horrible thick ear wax until he got a new job where he has to wear ear plugs. He says the ear plugs come out of his ears clean, and his ears don't feel clogged with wax. I am totally mystified. Why doesn't he have wax build-up anymore? They are the kind of bright orange ear plugs that you squeeze, stick in deep, then they expand inside.

I will admit I freakishly enjoy cleaning out my ears and my family's.

Yes, I do but I don't go too far in. I've never had a problem! I could not live without Q-tips. I only wish I'd invented them. Can you imagine?

Does your bobby pin have a cute cartoon character and a handle that doesn't cramp your hand?
No, but it does reside conveniently in my updo until I feel the need to clean my ears. A cartoon character peeking out of my bun might not match my outfit!

Arizona backwards is still Arizona! It's a palomino!
