And if so, where? I would like to do a little shopping, but am interested in buying somewhere besides the big department stores. Does anyone have any good sites they'd like to share?

If you are looking for basics, I've shopped at LLBean, Land's End and Victoria's Secret. The quality is fairly good. Customer service and delivery has been fine. The styes aren't very exciting though. They are probably the on-line equivalent of big department stores, so I'm not sure that they are what you would like.

Well it depends. What is your style like? Are you on a tight budget?

Year to year styles change and I find a store I liked last year may not be my favorite this year. For example I used to shop at jcrew.com a fair amount but have been sitting on a gift card for the past 6 months because I have not seen anything I like. Gap.com has a lot of good sales a good basic jeans I like. Last week I bought something there when they sent me a 25% off coupon and then I went through eBates and got another 10% off. Zappos.com is not just shoes anymore. Anthropologie.com has a lot of really cool things, though not cheap. I love Athletica & Titlenine.

I shop sales for sites I like and combine the with coupon codes to get deals...especially on handmade hemp stuff which is expensive but so comfy and worth it IMO

YUp lots and lots.......mostly for DD but also for myself. Curent favs are joules clothing from the UK, Boden, also from the UK (both of these for DD and myself and occasionally DH). I pick up the odd thing for myself at Hannah Andersson, but do get lots of basics there for DD.

Edited to add....just thought of another one that I use lots.....Monsoon (another UK company). These places all ship to the US. Have fun shopping!!! (can you tell I love to shop?!

www.sierratradingpost.com Great family company. It's more closeouts of high-end stuff. It's a bit earthy. I love the shoe selection!

Yep, I buy most of my clothes online. Usually Ebay has the best deals around.

I love online clothes shopping. It's the only time I feel like I have time to 'browse' (rather than doing the run and scoop kind of shopping due to lack of time).

Tip: if there's a brick and mortar store for the online one, try stuff on in the store first to really know the fit and your size. I hate dealing with online returns.

I do a lot of the above stores, as well as:

Forever21
Etsy

I don't really because I need to try everything on first. I have purchased a couple things online that I was fairly certain would fit and look good on me, but otherwise, I have to do it IRL.

I used to shop on Alloy.com a lot because I'm tall and they had 37" inseams and jeans that had huge flairs on them, now they don't carry the huge flairs anymore I guess that's not in style anymore. They still carry cute skirts and dresses from time to time.
