What have you done or will you do in honor of Spring this weekend?

Today I bought a pair of flip flops for $2. http://www.dogfunk.com/snowboard/Rox...ec6e57f02f4d1a

Yep, pink...which is usually NOT my color but I couldn't resist these.

spring cleaning, for sure (doing the apartment therapy spring cure!)

taking the boys out sunday to search for signs of spring (with a basket and a camera)

and . . . removing my winter "fur coat" of body hair. seriously. as of sunday, i will no longer be a saskwatch or however you spell that.

eta: cute flip-flops, dok! it'll be months before i could justify wearing something like that around here . . .

I wore my flip flops around yesterday even though it was barely warm enough.

Tomorrow, I have golfing plans so the weather better be springlike!

at fur coat.

It's not warm enough to wear the flip flops. I just wanted to have them on hand. And at $2, I couldn't pass it up (they are normally $23.)

I did wear sandals today but they cover more.

Cute flip flops AND they were a bargain!

No specific plans so far for this week-end, but lately I have stopped wearing socks in the afternoon when it warms up here! My feet are free! I need to give myself a pedicure!

I did do some online shopping for short sleeve tees and a cotton dress.

I am so, so happy spring is finally here!

I love Spring!

I already bought 2 pairs of flip-flops, 2 pairs of roll-up cargo pants, and at least 4 tank tops. Bought a cute North Face Spring jacket too. All last week on Cleveland's first 60 degree day!

However, this weekend I will be sequestered in my house so that I can finish my dissertation. NEXT weekend, I will be in Mesa and Sedona Arizona getting my Spring Training and hiking on!

Um... we're going ice fishing on Sunday, does that count?

Spring it springing up here, in a way. Yesterday it was above freezing! Today it was below freezing, but warm enough to snow! It was -20F on Monday, so this is a big improvement .

Me+DH+DS1+DS2+Dog=me and a house full of guys, which is really just peachy, thanks.

I sent the kids outside and told them not to come back until dark and I made my dh clean up the mountain of dog poo that was unearthed when the snow melted!

Spring cleaning, weeding the flower bed and admiring the daffodils poking up (yay!) and today the Dairy Queen up the street opens again for the season so I guess we'll be walking up there for a treat. I love spring!

Hmm, im not sure just yet. I figured I would walk across the street to the shops and buy a book and a magazine that ive been wanting...maybe get a frappaccino from Starbucks or somethin.

Im about to head out to the farmer's market, but my favorite farmer isnt going to be there , but i really need some eggs and have been craving some beef steak and/or pork something or other....and i want to get some fruit and some maple syrup.

I dont know what else to do to celebrate Spring's arrival other than be ridiculously happy that its FINALLY here!!!

Planted my garden this week along with a lot of flowers. Waiting for my new sandals to arrive and bought some skirts yesterday at Old Navy. Today we're heading out to the Farmer's Market but that's year round here though we haven't been for a while because of the rain.

Well, I got to scrape ice off the windshield this morning. Apparently my rear window defroster knows it's spring though because it stopped working today.

I also sent DH and DD out for a nice snowmobile ride on the river (which still has several feet of ice on it).

On a more warm weather note, I did buy myself a new bathing suit online a couple days ago.

We also turn off our Christmas lights in our outside trees on the first day of spring.

We went on a picnic and walk today next to the river, then took DD to the park. And, at 77 degrees, we complained about being too hot at the park, even in short sleeves! We also admired the pink and white flowering trees along the way...the cherry blossoms should be around the corner!

I think that tomorrow is going to be something of a "replay"...gotta take advantage of sunny days in the 70's as rain is heading our way and the hot and humid summers usually come much earlier than desirable!

Apparently doing it rong and ruining it for everyone, but I don't give a crap anymorebanana.gif

Summer has pretty much started here in the last few days, it was up to 77 today. I gave myself a pedicure now that we have sandal weather. We spent most of today outside and filled up the sandbox with sand, and we've started our nightly walk again now that it stays brighter and warmer for longer periods of time. My mood has already drastically improved as a result of the better weather, I'm loving it.

Watched cold, wet, heavy snow fall.

I didn't even realize it was the first day of spring until they mentioned something at story time at the library.

I went around picking up detritus from our recent wind storms and happened upon a trout lily. It's the cutest little thing! And bonus, I got to use my shiny wildflower identification book for the first time this year.

I should probably be doing something else right now.

I have done a lot of spring cleaning recently. It's been really nice to declutter everything and to have a freshly organized, clean space.

I am back to walking instead of taking the bus all the time.

And we have many more hours in the park than we had been in the last few weeks.
