and then after one washing it has a tiny hole in it. Hopefully New York and Company is good about returns/exchanges because I'm not going to drop $20-something and have it ruined the next day! I always have to wear soft, drapy fabrics that just tend to get holes in them easy... why does it have to be so hard!!!

I've had that happen to me too. irked.gif

I've never had the courage to complain though because I am a chicken and because I never know if my lack of laundry skills have have contributed to the damage.

Hope you at least get to exchange it.

This happens to me all of the time. I'll get a great shirt, wear it that first time, feel great in it all day, and once it's been washed I'll find a little hole in the armpit. It's always the armpit for some reason. Grr.

Perpetually TTC #1.  Let's go, Lightning!

I feel your frustration.  I just bought a new shirt at Goodwill that actually looked nice on me and fit and the first day I wore it Imanaged to get some bleach on it.

Oh, I hate that!  Was the hole from a split seam? If so, I'd definitely return it.  If it's not and it happens frequently, I'd suggest washing your drapey shirts in a lingerie bag or pillow case to protect them.

I love homemade: cute skirts, apricot jam, and family!

LOVE the idea of washing my shirts in a laundry bag... I have not ever thought of it! thumb.gif

I was able to exchange it, no questions asked. I'm thinking that the hole came from the security tag because the one I exchanged for had a tag in a similar spot, but no hole on this one.
