I didn't put this in nutrition and good eating, because I want to know what you like that is not nutritious nor particularly good, lol.

We went out of town a few weeks ago and stayed at a place that had free breakfast. I made a cup of instant cinnamon-apple flavored oatmeal (from the little packet) and it was so yummy, lol. I'm kind of not looking forward to my boring, plain oatmeal anymore.

I realize that's not horrible though. I also sometimes get a hankering from some really cheap, store bought pizzas (the kind with fake cheese and an almost cardboard crust).  Maybe it's childhood nostalgia??

What about you?

I love homemade: cute skirts, apricot jam, and family!

I ate an instant oatmeal packet the other day and couldn't believe how sweet it was.  It was actually kind of tasty so I get where you're coming from!

The "crappy" food I like, if you consider it a food, is light, domestic beer.  My friends all like dark, hoppy, expensive, "good" beer so it's kind of a joke among us.  Not that we are such big drinkers but I am definitely the cheapest date of the bunch!

oh goodness.. crappy food is my favorite, period.  onion rings, french fries, pizza hut thin crust, mozzarella sticks, chips and french onion dip, nachos, donuts (DONUTS!)  chocolate muffins, oreos and chocolate milk, those awful store made sugar cookies that are amazingly soft and frosted....

I'm currently eating Kashi's cheddar crackers with a store bought parmesan peppercorn dip.

Oh wow, my weakness is anything with cheese. Nachos, jalapeno poppers, quesadillas, smoked cheddar, etc.

vienna sausages.

i consider them to be the grossest thing on earth - or darn near it, but they are soooo GOOOD.

i cant remember the last time i had any. years ago maybe. however EVERY SINGLE TIME i pass them by at the grocery store and have to say no to them. we eat local and VERY healthy. however i still long for Vienna sausages.

Chili fries coney island style (as in Michigan not New York).  Learning what traditional coney island chili was made from is one thing that drove me to vegetarianism but they are sooooo good.  Especially when made with ridged fries.

Also I never drink soda but I do love me a decently made Sonic Cherry Limeaid.  On the limey side please.  Thank goodness the nearest Sonic is about 25 miles away (and a good coney island restaurant does not exist on the west coast...probably not outside of Michigan).

exactly what i was going to say! I also love the swiss cake rolls..mmm... and when they had those mint ones out (which were impossible to find, i might add) they were the BEST. but yeah, very rarely get them! ooh.. those star crunch or whatever they're called.. chocolate cookie, caramel, rice crispies covered in chocolate? Really though. Last time I had little debbie anything was nov or dec when they had  the mint swiss rolls. little debbies were major childhood treats

Hostess cupcakes
Chocolate zingers
Basically any crappy packaged chocolate cake with frosting that peels off!
French fries
Onion rings
Taco Bell burritos
Frozen fish sticks

It has been years since I have had most of these, but the memory lingers!

Apparently doing it rong and ruining it for everyone, but I don't give a crap anymorebanana.gif

French fries

Peanut M&M's

Dr. Pepper

All of these things are stuff I only have a few times a year-especially the soda. The m&m's are also hard for me because I find that if I have them in the house I gorge a bit. So they are a treat for a picnic with friends or something. We usually make our fries at home and bake them so not really bad. But once in awhile if we have lunch out I get some fries but always with a salad so it doesn^t count right ? ; )

Ok, I am a total foodie.  Really.  Eating AND cooking.  We do some fairly high end stuff.

But I love crap.  It is totally food from my childhood.  LOL.

DONUTS!!!  Dunkin Donuts, not Krispy Kreme.

Italian Beef or a good gyros and fries from a place where it is so greasy it makes the white paper it is wrapped in translucent.

Hamburger Helper.  The original.  Can't help it.

Plain old tuna noodle casserole.  Can of cream of mushroom soup and all.

Liversausage, slice of "American" cheese, miracle whip all on gummy white bread (aka Wonder Bread)

I'll second the boxed mac N cheese as comfort food.

Tostino's pizza rolls.  I believe it has been at least 15 years since I've had these but darn it, they sound good.

Greasy, good anchovie pizza.  Thin crust.  Oh goodness, there's nothing an anchovie pizza and a bottle of red wine can't make better.

This isn't organic fruit kabobs, but really, goldfish are a rpetty decent snack - shelf stable- and no hydrogenated oils :)

I knew you were a Chicago area girl as soon as I read Dunkin' Donuts and Italian Beef.  A friend of ours is opening a beef place here in WI and I'm so damn excited, beefs, anytime I want them!! I also love tuna casserole the way my mom made it.  Tuna, cream of mushroom, milk, noodles.  No more, no less.  No peas, no cheese, no potato chip topping!!!

I adore chips and dip.  Any kind of dip, any kind of chip.  Pita chips with spinach dip?  Sure!  Potato chips and onion dip?  Rock on.  LOVE.  In fact I stopped myself from buying some over the weekend because I was shocked that the big bag is $5.  Dang!

I really adore garbagey food.  It's why I'm fat.  (Well, I'm fat because I lack self control, but you know, it's not because I overindulge on carrots!)

I love trashy food, too.

Krispy Kremes

coke

McDonald's fries

"nachos" consisting of chips and that non-cheese liquid orange stuff

Filet o' fish (I know!  I know!  But I love 'em)

Essentially, if it's bad for me, I love it.  Cool Whip, straight from the tub.  Cheese, pizza, shakes, fries, chips, dips and so on.  Not onion rings so much.  If I could just buy fried breading, I would eat it.  Surprisingly, I don't like pork rinds.

Prepare to be sick:  My favorite Christmas treat is bananas cut in half and slathered in a mixture of Miracle Whip and powdered sugar, then rolled in chopped peanuts.  My sister and I can eat trays of these at holiday parties, but I don't know anyone outside of my family who would even consider trying them.

*high five*

And I only wrote "Italian" beef because I've referred to them as beefs before online and no one outside of the area knows what I'm talking about.

Your momma makes tuna casserole like my mamma.  Peas, cheese and chips do NOT belong.  LOL.

I will try not to repeat.. there have been some awesome things mentioned.

bacon cheese burgers. y to the yum.

I like any kind of sweet/salty combo- but movie theater popcorn (with "butter"!) and milk duds... drool. also, chocolate icecream with fritos.

root beet (I lived abroad for 2 years and they didn't HAVE rootbeer! it was awful!)

On my street there are a bunch of restaurants- one is a taco place, you can get french fries smothered with carne asada, guacamole, sour cream and cheddar cheese. another is a barbeque place- fries topped with smoked pulled pork and cheese in a homemade bbq sauce... yummmmmmm

to the little debby lovers- yes oatmeal cream pies and star crunches are awesome.. but what about nutty bars??

oh and bugels.

ETA: I forgot to mention those fried onion bits that come in a can. they are good on anything. smile.gif

PS I have never had a krispy kreme donut. (because I'm afraid of what might happen lol.gif )

Dots candy

Frozen bean/cheese burritos (the cheapy ones in the big bag)

And donuts (with coffee preferably)

(but we get local, kosher donuts most of the time, so I consider that 'pretty good quality' as opposed to having picked up dunkin donuts or whatever winky.gif, you know so it's up there with our other local healthy foods.  we will drive 30 minutes across town to get krispy kreme, if that's what we're dying for.  And lucky us even have a nearby spudnutz.  Donuts in moderation are totally a part of a healthy diet yummy.gif)

Sometimes doritos, but I got real sick after eating them when I was last pregnant.  I'm afraid of them now.
