I agree - great message!
It actually made me feel a little guilty for disliking Pampers! We used their swaddlers when DS was newborn , which I liked, but I couldn't stand the smell of their larger dipes. We use cloth & generic sposies now. But, yes, great commercial!

awww yup it made me cry too.
however the cynic in me sees this as a great marketing ploy. feeding on emotional appeal.
I had to go to youtube to watch it. That was so sweet! I love the little baby smile at the end. Makes me want to wake my baby up who is sleeping right next to me so I can love on him, lol
Wow that is really a sweet commercial. I can't stand pampers though, they stink! I am not brand loyal, I buy what's on sale if I buy disposables, but I always avoid pampers because of that smell.
*sniff sniff* ~tears here too. Beautiful ad.
...and I, too, cannot help but be a little skeptical of it, not just because of the product it's for, but the emotional manipulation.

But I agree with pp, I can't stand the smell of Pampers.

I had no idea that pampers smelled. I already have some that someone gave me...but thanks for the heads up. Maybe I'll have to go sniff them... (I am hoping to cloth diaper but wanted some disposibles for the first week or two.)

I watched it. It was awesome!
Aww. That was sweet.
Pampers stink when they're filled with pee but they fit my one son better than Huggies so we used them when we weren't cloth diapering.
Yep, same here. Huggies leaked with both my kids, so we use Pampers. I have friends who use Huggies because Pampers leak with their kids, though -- I guess it just depends on how your kids are shaped or something.
But yeah, Pampers have a distinctive odor. I don't find it offensive in and of itself (or at least I didn't used to), but after years of using the diapers, I associate even a new, clean Pampers smell with pee and poop. Kind of like how the scented dog poop bags smell gross to me now because I so strongly associate that smell with poop.
Anyway, the video is really sweet and I just love the message.
I have watched it four times but I keep missing the breastfeeding part. I have seen the bottle spots though.
Huh -- I just rewatched and I couldn't find any BFing images either, unless it was when they flashed some photos super quickly in the last few seconds.
I like Pampers wipes, and hate their diapers (a month or two ago, we got some on sale for the first time in years, and the smell was so bad - and dd2 got rashes from them), even though we are using disposables this time.
But, that ad definitely choked me up, especially the "10 years late" thing. Soooooo many strong emotions around babies...

Your eyes are way better than mine. I had to watch it three more times and pause every second to finally see the breastfeeding picture. They were all going so fast. Thanks! It is a lovely commercial.
That is some wicked keen marketing! It got me right in the emotional solar plexus! We CD and are very suspicious about Pampers (and affiliates), but nevertheless, it made me bawl! What beautiful images, edited so strikingly. The team in charge of putting that together did a fabulous job!
They have a really kickass marketing department. I think every woman who watches that commercial springs a tear and feels an ovarian twinge
I still think Pampers are yucky smelling and leaky but now I want a new squish to cuddle (um, mine is only 6 months old and just recently not colicky anymore... WHAT am I thinking??)
Maybe the point of the commercial is to make mamas have more babies...
Oh, and does anyone remember this one from Christmastime last year? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VxnP17r8E5o&feature=relmfu Yeah, there's another out-of-the-park from their marketing dept.
