Burnt popcorn (weird, I know, but a man I adored when I was 4-5 liked his popcorn burnt, and that smell reminds me of him to this day)

Pipe tobacco

Sandalwood

Patchouli

Wood fires

Coffee

Freshly baked pumpkin pie

Old books

None of the ideas expressed above are actually mine. They are told to me by Luthor and Ferdinand, the five inch tall space aliens who live under my desk. In return for these ideas, I have given them permission to eat any dust bunnies they may find under there.shine.gif

Ok I have another, it's kind of gross though.

A sweaty man smelling of cigarette smoke.  Of course the combo has to be just right and they have to be sweaty from hard labor.  Oh and they have had to been smoking Marlboro reds.  That is my grandpa right there!  Love that smell.

The smell of hot dogs.  Not the food but the actually dog.  My cow dogs smells awesome after sunbathing.  She uncurls her long legs and you can smell her warm skin.  Weird but I love that smell.  Could be because it coincides with her enjoyment of the sun and her comfort.

You're right that's gross. I even smoked those in my crazy youth, but the faintest hint of cigarette makes me want to hurl any more.

Line dried sheets

Oh, and my grandparents smelled like bacon and percolated coffee.  At least I get carried back when I smell the two together.

Me too, only I associate it with my great grandparents and spending summers on their farm. It really takes me back to the happiest time in my childhood.
