My mom had to put one of her dogs down about 5 months ago, due to cancer. She had a bum leg and it would drag on the floor with she walked. You could hear her coming before you saw her. Now, almost every night after mom goes to bed, she hears her dog gimping down the hallway and it stops at her bedroom door, as if she stops and lays in her usual spot on the floor by the bed.

My DH has a bunch of ghost stories and is physic. I can send him thoughts if we're in the same room. Like random thoughts not associated with anything we've ever talked about. He's always saying what I was just thinking about, so I tried to send him thoughts one time and it worked! I think I thought about something really random, like "I want a banana".

I used to live in a house that was 100+ years old.  It was next to a cemetery that hadn't had anyone buried in it in quite a while (like the 1930s maybe?) & had at least five civil war soldiers buried there, so you know it's old.  Dh & I were in the basement one day when we clearly heard someone walking through the first floor of the house.  We just kind of looked at each other, like, okay, we're not alone.  I don't recall feeling like there was always someone around, but at times I think I did.  I don't know any history of the house beyond the people who owned it before us (nothing memorable) so not sure all of what went on.

I really liked that house & the neighbors were quiet.  lol.gif

I've had sleep paralysis a few times, and it's really terrifying (but not paranormal, although it certainly feels that way at the time!) During each episode, I've been absolutely convinced that there's someone evil sitting on my bed -- I can feel the bed sink down to one side and everything, but I can't move and I can't open my eyes. I know I need to wake up, but it's like I'm swimming up through molasses to force myself to open my eyes. Each time, I wake up gasping and terrified. It's only ever happened at my mom's house, and it still happens to her sometimes. Hmmm....

Another story that I've shared here before is the night in college when I just felt inexplicably despondent. I was so agitated that I remember pacing my bedroom floor with my face screwed up in emotional agony, and I was thinking, "What is this?? This isn't about anything, this isn't me!" I wrote poetry at the time, so in an effort to get the feelings out I wrote a poem, then finally calmed down and went to bed. The next morning I was awakened by a phone call from my uncle, telling me that my aunt had committed suicide by hanging the night before. In my grief, the episode and poem from the night before didn't even cross my mind. I didn't look at it until a few months later, when I got out my poetry book to write another poem. I reread the poem from that night, noticed the date, and got chills. The poem has tons of references to choking, feeling icy cold fingers around my throat, and there being no way out. It makes me so sad, because I felt her feelings of despair and hopelessness.

That's so terrible. I'm sorry for your loss. :( Really intriguing that you felt what she felt though.

This was a few years back. We had just moved into a trailer. DF was gone to the store, and I was by myself. All of a sudden, I heard someone say, "Get out." I looked out all the windows, there was no one there (it was a trailer park with only, like, four trailers). When DF came back, I told him. Often, we would hear voices talking back and forth, and hear moving around. One time, we were leaving in the night for something, and there was some furniture and stuff outside for a yard sale. It was pitch black, no street lamps or anything. There was a vanity type thing with a mirror, and before we got to it, I heard a door slam, heard a female scream, and saw tail lights. When we passed, then I saw our tail lights. After that incident, we didn't see or hear anything else.

Awhile after that, we were living in an upstairs apartment. All night long, I kept hearing train horns, but there weren't any train tracks nearby. (There used to be one, but they took it out I think about 20 years ago, as I never remember seeing it.) DF heard it sporadically, but I heard it almost constantly, all night. About 4 am, I started to get *very* emotional, crying and just feeling very sad and down. Then I saw a young girl, in her 20's, maybe, at a train station. She was very sad, crying. It was like I was there. She was wearing an older style dress, with the blazer/jacket with the buttons down the front, and a knee-length skirt, with a matching hat. She just kept crying, and so sad. She didn't say anything, just cried. I felt like I was right there, I felt her sadness, and I started crying. DF asked me what was wrong, and I told him. He said that he had just had the image of the same girl flash in his head, too. It was very weird.

In the same apartment, a few months later, we started seeing a little girl running around. She had blond curly hair, and wore an older-fashioned, lacy dress, or sometimes, it was just a silhouette. When I first saw the silhouette, I thought it was DD, but when I called out to her, she didn't respond, and when I checked on DD, she was sound asleep.

There was also pretty frequently nights when we would hear a baby crying, that sounded *exactly* like DS, and we would go check on him, and he was sound asleep.

Sometimes, we would hear dishes and other things moving around in the kitchen, when none of us were in there.

We also saw yellow eyes right outside our window, looking in. (This was on second story, with no balcony or anything.) That gives me shivers still just thinking about it.

This is from DF. One night, DF and I were watching a movie or something, and I had just fallen asleep. He said there was a Ricker's cup sitting on the coffee table in front of him. He said at first it scooted a little bit, then stopped, then started rocking, then started levitating. DF is *very* into the paranormal, and he has been on (amateur) paranormal investigation teams, so he's not spooked by much, but this combined with a feeling of evil he got around the same time scared him enough for him to wake me, DD, and DS up, and rush us out of the apartment.

A few days later, DF and I went back just us. When we got inside, all of the kids' stuffed animals were in a pile in the doorway, when there had been none there when we left. DF had brought some holy water, and some house-cleansing prayers we got from Catholic priest(?) and we started blessing the house. When we got to the front door again, DF started a last, final prayer, and I started feeling something clawing/climbing up my legs, inside my jeans, and there was a black mist forming in the living room. It was *so* scary.

Holy COW! Where were you? Have you looked more into the history of the places where this stuff happened?

I have so many of these. When I was 7 I got into an argument with my brother and sister and how we had an older brother. I had serious memories of him. He has red curly hair and was 17 at the time. That he lived faraway but I still talked to him.some times. I was so mad they thought I was lying that I went to my mom. "Mom tell them about our brother. They say i am making it up." She asked me what I was talking about so I explained it to her. She started to cry and told me that 17 years before that she had an abortion. Then she grabbed a picture of her boyfriend at the time and he looked so much like the boy I was remembering curly red hair and everything.

This one still is weird for mebto talk about. I have never told anyone. When I was thirteen me and my friends went on a past life binge. We researched ways to remember and it got super intense. The weird thing was that I wrote it all down in a journal. There were five of us and when I went back to look at it before I had children it was spot on but mine didn't make sense. It predicted the exact number and genders of.children each of us would have. But mine would both not survive and my pregnancies would only last 4 months then I would have a son. All 5 of us followed it to the t. My daughter and my son were both born at 18 weeks and did not survive and I have my son now. I never told any of them about the Reccord or my dp.

Ill add.more later

Talk about the past haunting you! That's crazy! A friend of mine lost one of her twin babies very early on, but the other one stuck and was born healthy. Her son's older sister said that she knows her "sister" and talks to her on a regular basis. She never knew that my friend was carrying twins before that. Her daughter named her Eva.

Once when I was working in a nursing home someone had a little bird. I was taking care of the patient and I walked over to the cage.  It wasn't acting strangely but I said...It is ok to go.  I know you are sick and if you need to die, go and be comfortable.  I forgot about it and later that day I overheard another worker say... Oh isn't that sad?  So and so's bird died.  That came out of left field!

I had never called my great grandma before.  I was young.  I all of a sudden asked my older cousin to help me find her number.  I called her and talked with her.  I found out that she died shortly after.  Something gave me that feeling to call.

My grandma's son passed away suddenly in a motorcycle accident at 19.  When the police arrived my grandma already knew.  She felt it.  She said..  ------ is dead, before she was told.

My aunts had a bird growing up.  My aunt came up to my mom and told her that the bird was dead.  My mom said that no he wasn't because she just cleaned the cage.  Sure enough, the bird had died and my aunt knew before seeing.

Useless stuff but interesting.
