pms? peri-menopause (though i think you are too young for that)?

that is VERY unlike you to not sign up to bring anything for V Day. you are the queen of cute party food ideas.

if that means you are taking care of yourself - then GOOD for you!!!

so there!

I have told DH that the rest of the month was a false coping and PMS let him know exactly how I felt about things.  And just because PMS has you pissed off about it doesn't mean you're not right!

Nobody so far. DH always does his own, and the kids have enough clean clothes to last the rest of the week. Their dirty clothes are sitting in a pile in the middle of my bedroom floor, staging a silent protest. Since I work from home, I will probably get sick of looking at it and wash them later today. Grumble.

To be fair, this has nothing to do with DH. He is awesome. I'm just stretched too thin right now, and I had no clean clothes so I went to do the wash and looked at the mountain of laundry (from just half a week!!), and thought, "You know what? I'm the only one who needs clean clothes for tomorrow. I'm only washing mine!"

And then I checked my email and saw a request for v-day goodies, and started to click the link to sign up and then thought, "You know what? I've already coached running club and chaperoned a field trip today. There are parents who haven't done a single thing to help out all year. The world will continue to spin even if I DON'T make cake pops for the kindergartners."

So, yeah. That's how it went down. smile.gif

Amen!

I have to remind myself of that sometimes, too!  (This coming from the person who is making a hot lunch main dish for the teacher's lunch on Monday).
