If so, what brand? There are so many brands out there I don't know where to start. I'd love to have something that's semi-fashionable too (maybe more so than your average walking shoe), but the more important thing is just that it's comfortable!

Thanks in advance...

Are you looking for a sandal type slip on? A sneaker type? Or another type?

Well for real walking shoes, I bought myself a pair of Rebok slip ons this pregnancy........they look kinda like those trendy little slip on type track shoes but they actually FIT well and are super comfy.......and the best thing about them, at least for me, is that they have a very breathable outer part....so your feet don't get all sweaty (a big pet peeve of mine) and this also makes them uber lite.

They look similar to this:

But they are backless and black and grey.......I love them.

I was thinking more of a slip-on sneaker-type shoe than a sandal, but if someone knows of a sport-style sandal that's good for walking I'd be interested in hearing about that too.

Anothermama, thanks for the Reebok link - I'll have to look for the backless style you have.

I'm a fan of Dansko clogs for comfort. If you want sandals, nothing beats Reef flip-flops for convenience and comfort (and they're better looking than the cheap plastic kind). And pretty much anything from Cole Haan will be stylish and comfy.

I just got a pair of Soft Spots that are wonderful. They make all different styles, and I just ordered another pair for summer. I have foot problems and really wide feet- I didn't think I would ever be able to wear anything but Birks, but these are great!
