Aug 30th- Sept 6th 2004.

Has anyone ever been to one of these gatherings?
I was thinking yesterday, and they came to mind.
I checked out the website:
http://www.burningman.com
and did a google image search "Burning Man".

I found it quite interesting, sereal and beautiful.

im not sure I understand how being "cheap" would keep you from going?
Does it cost money to participate?

yeah it costs like $80 or so for tickets. It wasn't always that way, but give em a few years and it will be the Starbucks (tm) Burning Man

My dh goes every year (he builds huge temple-things every year) so he's gone for 3 weeks right now!

He loves it and looks forward to it every year. It sounds amazing but too hot and dusty and crowded for me. The tickets are really expensive, but considering the infrastructure of creating a city of 30,000 people and the millions of dollars in permits to the BLM...it isn't surprising.

::::: Married for ten years to my good man :. Mama to my sweet and funny boy and my lovely little girl

I've never been, but a friend of mine has been a couple of times, and he says it's really a lot of fun.

I can't believe how expensive it's gotten!
