I want to order my girls their first Hanna Andersson playdress sets.

Does anyone here have experience with their sizing? Based on the size chart, my girls are right on the borderline between a 80 and 90.

They will be 2 in October...Avery is around 34" tall and 27 lbs., Natalie is about 33" tall and 25 lbs.

I don't want the dresses to be huge, but I don't want them to grow out of them right away either.

Thanks for any help from mamas who love Hanna...I've just been turned onto them! Maybe I'll order some zippers too!

with hannas, height is the most important thing.. being that one is 34 inches and one is close, I'd personally order 90s.

My exp. w/ hanna A. is that thier sizing is generous, to grow and move. also, they do have a chart that shows comparable sizes, dont they? and, the phone operators have always helped me in the past.
I looove their stuff!

Yes, order the zippers!!!!

My ds1 has about 10 of them. 5 from last year, size 80, that are too short but still plenty roomy and 5 size 90's that fit just right everywhere. He lives in them! The ones from last year still look good as new. They are so easy for diaper changes and are so comfy. My baby is sleeping right now in an organic cotton one!

I don't have a catalog nearby, but isn't the size 90 34-38 inches? If so, definately order your girls the size 90. The dresses may seem a bit big until you wash them and then they should be just right.

Hannas are the best children's clothing out there, imo. I'd say 95% of my kids' stuff are Hannas.

Sizing is really generous, but esp. with the playdresses, it's not bad to have them a little big to grow into. For me, it's a splurge to buy Hanna stuff (even at the outlet store), so I'd buy a little big for maximum wear.

I agree- buy 90 cm to get maximum wear.

DD still has a few summer playdress/daydresses in 80cm that still fit but they are getting pretty short now (she's about 35" tall).

I would go for the 90. I love their stuff for kids. So cute!
I'm not of Scandinavian build so the pants do not work for me, but I have found a couple of dresses that I just love!

Teh play dresses lok great long and short so I would go with the biggest size. That is about the size my girlks were when they wore 90s.

And just for the record I got our play dress at Savers for a buck. Yes a buck for hannah Anderson. Thank you . . Thank you very much.

sorry I just love a good deal.

The truest answer to violence is love. The truest answer to death is life. The only prevention for violence is for the heart to have no violence within it.  We cannot prevent evil through any system devised by mankind. But we can grapple with evil and defeat it, but only with love—real love.

I would say order the 80s, but that's me. You can't go wrong ordering the 90s.

I ordered the 100 in the winter set for my daughter probably about two years ago--she was right in the range, but they really seemed big when we got them. Now she's still wearing them and they fit her really well. 100 cm 38-42 in. 31-38 lbs. 3-5 yrs. She is 5, about 45 lbs and 43" tall, so the sizing is pretty generous as her dress set is not tight on her at all.

But my daughter is kind of weird in that she doesn't seem to like to wear too big clothing, but she'll wear stuff that is tight on her or too short. As long as it doesn't fit tightly in the crotch. She especially hates long pants, and if the pants touch her feet, she won't wear them. The Hannas were really long on her stubby little legs, but because of the cuffs she would wear them, but she definitely chooses them a lot more now.

I just bought a size 110 playdress/daydress set off of eBay.

Savers is a huge thrift store - they used to call themselves "The thrift department store". None in the Sac area, but when we go to Arizona or the bay areas I can never resist.

Find the store nearest you here:

HA rocks! Most of my older dd's clothes are HA, thanks to my mom. I've probably ordered one or two new items from them, but I have gotten some good deals from consignments stores and ebay. Fortunately I have two dd's, so the clothes are getting double the use and they hold up SO well. I just pulled out some of the fall clothes I've had packed away for a couple of years and found some of the HA playdress outfits from dd#1. They look practically brand new!
