Dear all,
I didn't post when it happened but my best friend was raped in December. She has been to the police to report it and today went to make a charge. The laws as they stand, mean that since he didn't beat her senseless and it was in her home, and she knew him, that unless he confesses the police (who believe her completely) can't charge him. She is hoping that if we all put our minds to work, light some candles and ask the universe/god/goddess/insert deity of choice for help, that he might confess when he's taken in for questioning early next week. Any supportive messages would also be gratefully accepted.
I'd be really grateful for your support, and so would she.
Thanks,
J

Consider her positively vibed!

My mom was raped by her ex-husband and I know how hard it is to make these things stick. I certainly hope it works out and he confesses.

Definately sending her good vibes and hoping that everything works out for her.

It happened to me when I was 17 and I was too scared to tell anyone til 3 years later, so I give her credit. Please keep us updated and let us know what happens!

Sending positive energy, saying a prayer, and hoping it will end in justice.

What does it being in her home have to do with it being a rape?

I understand the lack of physical harm meaning less evidence, though I'm glad she wasn't injured additionally in that way. If she got a rape kit done, goes along with immediately reporting a rape, would the DNA evidence not count for anything? Or does that just leave it at a "he says, she says" level unless he tries to say he wasn't there at all?

May justice be done in this situation.
