When I first met DH he had this thing on his face. It was a blue dot. He'd squeeze it and pus would come out...but it smelled like dirty dogs. It was freaking gross...so of course I obsessed over it and was constantly squeezing it.

He figured he got it while he was in Africa, Panama, or Haiti (he was an MP in the army before he got out for college...now he's Ordinance). So I was always pestering him to get it checked out, but he was scared to because he wasn't sure if it was something that would prevent him from getting back in the army. So time passes...he gets back in...I nag him...I nag him...I make the appointment.

Well he goes into the appointment and the doctor hasn't seen anything like it before...so like any good doctor, he numbed the spot up and cut it out.

What was it?

.....make a wild wild guess.....

a whole bunch of ingrown hairs. DH said they were all curled up and long...like the hair in a drain. This was all in a blue dot the size of a pencil eraser...not very big.

I wish he'd saved it for me so I could see it.

That's pretty gross. But I thought you were going to say it was some kind of worms or something.

Hey, aren't you supposed to be sleeping?

ewwww. I love popping dh's zits.. it satisfies me sooo much. I love it when he gets huge ones. Once my sister cut out a cyst on her xbf's back. With a razor blade. It was about the size of a 3 diminsional dime, if you could imagine that.. and it looked like a ball of skin colored tangled up cord. YUCKKKKKKK. its fun to do stuff like that, at least for me. I bet you so wish he had saved that stuff.

My dh will die if he sees this, so don't tell

My dh had one of these on his "private parts" It kept getting bigger and was really bothering me, so he numbed it and used a razer blade to cut it off (did I mention he hates doctors) and it was a ball of ingrown hairs!

This was just a couple of months ago and I had never heard of this before

Ewww...that is sorta gross. But I so thought you were going to say he had bug larve growing in there or something, so a few wild hairs are quite pleasant in comparison

ohhhh finally after all these months, a place to tell my very own disgusting story

when i hit my head, a month went by and i was still dizzy and disoriented, so i was at the dr for a check-up. i also said one ear was ringing so he looked in there and said there was so much wax he couldnt see my eardrum. so he had a nurse "irrigate" it.

for the uninitiated: this means they take a spraybottle with a special attachment tiny tube on it and spray warm water into your ear over and over and over until it softens and dislodges whatever is in there. then the wax floats out into the basin that you are holding for them to catch the water in.

i had a thing in my ear the size of a marble. but it wasnt cute little golden ear wax--oh no! it was all kinds of black and brown and a frightening texture! i was amazed. then more came out! : it was a disgusting but satisfying experience.

Ewwwww. I thought it would be some larva or worm, too. YOu wanted us to think that!

Anyhoo, I'm rubbing this horrible zit on my chin right now. I almost never get pimples but when I do, they're big.

DH never gets ingrown hairs but he does have two on his face that grow and grow and grow (they're white!) and we laugh to see how long they get and get sad when they fall out. They're both on his forehead and very fine.

Another zit popper here... I tell DH I'm his dermatologist. It seriously has a calming, satisfying effect for me - he hates it and wiggles the whole time, plus he is a wimp about the "pain." :LOL

I would have liked to have seen/removed the hairs too. : :

I am a zit popper too. Poor DH, he gets so frustrated with me when I come at him with that gleam in my eye. He says that I didn't fall to far from the tree when it comes to my primate relatives. I'll pick at him all day long.

I'm not a zit popper, but my dh is very very hairless on his chest. He has like 5 hairs. They grow out of his nipples and they are long and wiry. And he won't let me pull them out! They've been driving me crazy now for 6.5 years and he still hasn't let me pull even one out! Isn't that mean?
