We've been without gas for almost two weeks now. We have no hot water, we cook on a small electric hot plate, and we wait for sunny days to hang out our clothes (and those have been few and far between lately).
This is now my one week anniversary of my last shower. I am in desperate need. I've planned on asking the neighbors to use theirs but the plumbers are here now working on the issue and my husband wants me around, for some reason. I think my general stink and level of discomfort easily trumps helping my husband through a question from the plumber.
To get this line fixed has required two service calls from two different gas companies -- our old one and now our new one -- and a 5+ hour visit from a plumber. Yikes.

I noticed that there are about 20 flies in my bedroom and I haven't noticed a problem with flies here before. Apparently my stink is pretty strong. You should see my hair. I think I may go shampoo free after all of this. My hair is no longer used to being washed daily.
