Abirami is Abi
Nitara is Nita (but only in our family)
Both of them are baby-girl. Abi used to be Kutti-girl (kutti means little in Tamil)

The basic nicknames are Tali and Ani. The more fun nicknames are:
Talia Eden Stinkypants
Ani-Ani-Anika
Tali-monster and Ani-monster
chickapea
bebe
stinkerdoodle (or stinkernoodle)

Darn it, there's one I'm forgetting. I use it all the time, but without one of the girls here for me to talk to, I can't remember it!

Semi-long story: My three year old daughter used to fart a LOT when she was just born and one of our more country friends visited and laughed at her "pooting." We got tickled over that word and she became our little Pooter, which evolved over the years to:

Pooter-bear
Pooty-poot
Pootin' Pie
Poopy-do

I just call our 9-month old my little Monkey.

In utero, DD was "Bean."
When she was tiny, we called her "Bug", "Cassie-Bug", and "Tiny Monkey."
Now she is "Bug", "Miss Cass", "Chicken", "Duck", "Munchy" and "Monkey."

I am often amazed that she knows her name.

Homeschooling, etsy-crafting Mama to spunky DD (12-04) and wife to DH.

Taryn is Snickerdoodle.

If I call her something else, like Snugglebum, or Cuddlebiscuits, she gets annoyed: "NO! It's Snickerdoodle!"

Olivia is Pumpkin, DH used to call her honey, but it got to confusing with him calling both her and me honey so now he calls her pumpkin too. Sometimes its chunky monkey because she likes to fill her cheeks with air and make a monkey face.

Also Olivia has really thick hair in front but the back is kinda rubbed off in a spot and just in general looks messy and tweaked all over. So when we first got her we nicknamed the back of her head her monkey's nest. So when DH would get her dressed for the day I would ask him how her monkey nest looked that day. Well now that has evolved into me calling her mommy's little baboon head.

My son is "Meester", dd even calls him that His name is Aaron, so I sometimes call him Aaron the Baron Yes, I am seriously weird I also call him Baby Fuss-Fuss or Baby Aaron.

DS, Roland, *hates* nicknames for himself. The only ones he will half-tolerate is Rah Rah, and Bubba (brother) and only from his sister, because she can't quite say his name yet.

DD, Caitlin, has quite a few nicknames. My favourite to call her is "Siggleputz" DH started calling her SnuggleTits when she was a newborn, and it was too much of a mouthful for DS (thankfully) "Siggleputz" is how it came out & we all started calling her that. DS has shortened it & calls her "Pritz" now.

~Teresa, raising DS (Jan. 02) and DD1 (Jun. 04) and DD2 (Dec. 11) with DH.
