does anybody want to adopt a black lab puppy? I am fostering him for Arkansas Lab rescue, he was found in the street. We have had him since Aug. He is about 6-7m now. His name is Harry aka "HAIRY" Potter. about 61lbs of love.
Hyper and chewy sometimes but well he is a lab...and a puppy what can I say?
I would keep him but he is our 3rd dog!
He does try to jump on greeting but is better with that. Crate trained, hasn't had any accidents in a long time in house or crate. Sleeps in his crate at night. I would crate him if you leave the house because he is a puppy and they have a tendency to get into things!
My kids are 6 and 9 and he is fairly gentle with them (except trying to be a lap dog ha ha) no aggression so far. My 6 yr old lays on him, pulls his tail, and plays rough but no issues there.
He is a lot more gentle with babies/toddlers from what I have seen bringing him to the parks/dogpark.
He is a little shy with bigger dogs because we have small (high energy) dogs..rat terriers. He does play well with other dogs.
He knows several tricks. Sit, stay, come, heel. He can dance but I wouldn't encourage that, he imitates our little dogs. sometimes says water when he wants water (growling talking sound it is funny!).
He has had all his shots and is fixed/dewormed/defleaed.
The site seems to be down (aaah they are redoing it and should be up after new year's) but here is the contact info for the rescue place:
