We are currently test driving a 2006 Civic Hybrid for 24 hours (yea, they let us take it home!) and we LOVE it! It has like 14,000 miles, but I swear it looks brand new- you cannot even tell it had an owner. With our trade-in we will be getting it for around $15,000. We won't have as much spending money, but I think we can afford it. I SO want a 4-door car! I have a 2001 civic now, but it is 2-door, and we plan on having one more kid. SUVs are out of the question, as they are too much money. I love the fact we will be leaving a green footprint as well. Tell me to buy it!!!

wow good deal, I'd buy it. We have been considering one also since we will probably need a second car soon. I haven't seen one in person yet. Oh wait I think it's the Toyota Camry hybrid we are thinking of getting?

The only bad thing I have heard about it is that it costs LOTS to replace the battery, and that they usually go in about 5 years. Everything else about it seems AWESOME.

That is a really good deal! Are you buying from a dealer? Honda warranties their hybrid batteries for 10 years, but I am not sure how that works if you buy used, so I would check with whomever you are buying from to see if the battery is under warranty before you buy.

Yea we are buying it from a dealer- not a honda dealer though. I think the warranty was for 5 years...off to check.
