I took two HPTS today(2 different brands:equate and first response) and had two extremely faint lines today. I dont want to get my hopes up till I test tomorrow with FMU (I didnt test with FMU today). I havent charted at all this month so I dont really know where Im at exactly in my cycle. I wish I could take a pic but my dig camera is broken. I tried taking pics with my cell phone but they come out too blurry and not enough light.

With both tests, I had to break them out of the case to see the lines

With one of them (first response brand) I saw a very thin faint line, but couldnt tell the color, but now (past the 10minute wait of course) it is very obviously pink. I know you cant trust anything after 10 minutes, but could evap lines be pink? I thought only grey or ghost like.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don't let these be evap lines!!!!

I have been ttc for sooo long so I really dont want to get my hopes up.

Stay tuned...

2 evaporation lines in one day? That sounds unlikely! of course I myself took 18 months to get pregnant and tested several times, too when I saw a second line for the first time.

Fingers crossed for you. My first really early tests had to be broken out of the plastic cases, too, to see the line.

I went through the same thing last week. I waited 2 days and took a digi. The lines were not in my head!

Clear Blue makes digi's where you can test "5 days sooner". Good luck!

My lines were really faint early on, too. Answer Early gave me the darkest ones, though. You could probably use the Digital tomorrow morning and get a true result either way. Good luck!

OK I gave in and used the other First Response from the double pack. At 2 minutes I saw another barely there line, at 5 minutes I can still see it(a little darker but still very faint). Dh thinks Im nuts. I had to take this one out of the case too. I gotta go the store and buy some more for tomorrow's testing craziness. DH is so afraid Ill get my hopes up.

A line is a line. It sure sounds to me like you have reason to celebrate!

I got a positive Sunday morning, and both tests Saturday looked *almost* positive . . .I saw the barest hint of a line , had to hold the test just so,in just the right light . . . . ..but for sure there was a faint pinkness to the line Sunday morning. Here I am, 2 betas later. So far, so good.

Why not just hold your urine for at least 4 hours and take a digital?

Tonight.

DON'T test tomorrow I know this isn't what you want to hear, but I'm saying it anyhow.
I had a dodgy batch of tests, with pink evap lines on every single one of them. In April, I got through 9 tests before AF showed- 3 days later than normal. In May, I used one, got a faint, faint line (so faint a camera couldn't pick it up.) 3 days later, with non FMU, the line was blindingly obvious.
I'd give it 48 hours at least, but I'm pretty sure this is it and you're pg at last

Ok I just bought a bunch of tests at the store. The $ store was sold out as usual. I bought First Response, and Clearblue Digital. I dont think I can test tonight because I cant hold my pee very long. Ill have to wait till tomorrow morning.

I have some pg/pms symptoms....a little cramping (sort of stretching feeling), sleepiness, bloating (I can barely get my wedding ring off), so we'll see. Sucks that pg and pms have such similar symptoms.

Good luck. Sleepiness is my first pregnancy symptom. I can't wait to hear an update tomorrow.

My dr threw away the pg test that had a "too faint"line on it. I was told I wasn't pregnant. I pulled the test out of the trash though.LOL Even if that dr. had bad eyes, I could see that tiny, faint line.

Evap lines are usually greyish, but can have some of the pigment in them from the control line.

http://peeonastick.com/ has some good comparison shots of positives and some good info on reliability.

If the line appeared outside of the control time - don't trust it. Your best bet is to get some more try with first morning urine and see what happens.

With the digitals - do NOT look at the stick - they will always have two lines - that does NOT mean that you are pregnant - that is just the way the test works.

Good luck and keep us posted!

Good luck with your test!

With my current pregnancy, it took dh 2 days to really believe I was pregnant. The line was so faint that he claimed he couldn't see it (on 3 different tests!), but I was sure that it was a line.

I tested maniacally with this baby, because I just FELT pregnant ( i feel pregnant in my boobs first, and MAN did they feel pregnant to me!), but Dh said I was nuts. I kept testing anyway, always getting bold-faced negatives. Then finally I didnt test for 3 days, and then one day woke up and decided to test just once more. I POAS, and there it was, very faint, but THERE. Woke Dh up and made him look, he said I was nuts.
Took a new test the next day ( same kind, I had bought in bulk off the web), and it was bold as brass positive.
Methinks you will have a bold poitive there in a few days!
