I will tell you a story
When I was like 17 my Mom hated the fact that I was friends with Bikers and told me how they would ruin my life and what low life people they were.
I told her that was not true and they were nice people.
One day she got a flat tire and was with my lil sis it started to rain and she did not know how to change the tire on the car they had only had it for a few months.
It started to rain and who pulls up but this big, scary biker and tells her to get in the car he was going to change her tire for her.
My sis and Mom both thought he was going to kill them but he changed the tire and told her he would never let his Mom change a tire and since she was a mom he didn't want her to have to do this especially in the rain.
Well she was at my wedding and who walks in but the big scary biker
he was my bosses hubby who introduced me and DP a few years later but she was like ohh I know him he is the biker who changed my tire.
He never rememberd doing it because he always pulls over whenever he sees anyone having car troubles to see if he can help
My Mom did change her mind after that and relized you can't judge a book by it's cover and knows now why I have some of the friends I have
Okay here's a story
I was getting my annual OB exam. The OB asked if I minded if his intern did the exam and I said no. So she was there doing her thing with the speculum and I was trying to be a million miles away. The OB was looking over her shoulder. She started to do the pap smear and she asked him a question, and he said, "I can't see very well, too much hair in the way." I was so embarrassed and I said, "Oh sorry, I usually trim before these appointments but I didn't this time." Then he said, "No, not you. I was referring to (intern's name)'s hair. And with that he pulled her very fluffy hair out of the way so he could see better.
Hope your dh feels better soon. It's 2am and I really need to go to bed.
