My dd just got pet rats, and in 3 weeks would like a small rat themed 6th birthday party. I'd have the rats at the party in their big cage for kids to look at (not hold!), and have a healthy rat cupcake in the cage, but what about for the kids? Anyone know of a rat-related party game or two? I'm thinking cheesecake with some kind of rat decoartaion...any rat songs out there I could use for musical chairs...? TIA for any ideas!!!

I can't think of much off the top of my head, but I do know that the party store here has some Ratatouille party stuff, so you might want to check your party store and see if they have anything you can use - maybe some rat stickers as party favors or something?

Maybe a "pin the tail on the rat" game (substitute a rat for the donkey)?

Rat, rat, mouse? (ie duck duck goose)

I bet you could find some rubber rats or other Halloween-ish rat stuff on eBay or at a party store. I know Pottery Barn Kids also had that kind of stuff at Halloween, too, so again, maybe eBay?

With the movie Ratatouille there are some party ideas that might work for a generic rat party-

Generic rat/mouse party ideas-

You could make a cake that looks like a giant piece of cheese.
Make a maze/obstacle course in your yard for a "rat race" game.

Quote:
Cat and Rat Game

This game is best for 10 or more players. The players hold hands in a circle. One player is the rat on the inside of the circle, and one player is the cat on the outside of the circle. The cat tries to break through the circle to get to the rat. The players
in the circle try to prevent the cat from getting to the rat. When the cat succeeds in breaking through the circle, the players
the cat broke between are the next cat and rat.
