facetious... :

it has all the vowels in the proper order.

This is creepy. Ten minutes ago I was standing at the stove cutting up a pizza and thought about this. I came here with every intention of starting the thread that you just started

Mine is trepidation. I don't know why, it just resonates to me.

Right now? Vicodin.

Otherwise it would be tough to say. I love words so much that it would be difficult to choose. I like "simplicity" and "exacerbate" because they are fun to say. I say "totally" a lot.

Totally OT but....

My little brother has a very strange sense of humor and likes to use biblical references for cut-downs, but its always good-natured and we know its a joke. So one day, when he was about 16, he was shopping with me and I came across this t-shirt that was pretty funny. It said "I kiss and tell. and tell and tell." So he called me "Jezebel, temptress of the philistines" for liking it. :

Indefatigable

I just wish I were. No, really, I like the way it rolls off the tongue. I'm also a big fan of indubitably. But, it is hard to work that one in to a regular conversation without sounding a little snooty.

Me , 36 year old RN and future AP mom in training . I am wife to one wonderful husband and "mom" to one great rescue pup :.

I dont know if its my favorite, but I really like the word "which" because I enjoy the meaning and I like to say it. I also like to write it.... two "h" in one word! And if you spell the same sounding word, as in "sandwich" you drop an "h". Interesting!! Or, you could have the kind you see on Halloween, or in Harry Potter... "witch"

I like the F Word.
So descriptive, so versatile.
It is not obscene to me, more like emphatic punctuation.

My favourite word is meniscus.

Mostly because people think it's hilarous when I work it into a conversation, like I did two weeks ago at a Pampered Chef party.

lemurmommies, loving wife to ruvalokiteshvara, proud moms to our intact son E (12/06), and mourning the loss of our daughter Noelle (stillborn 12/08).

I love the word inevitably. It's fun to say quickly. Long drawn out IN then dance your tongue to say the evitably part. Yeah, it's fun.

Not a word, but a road warning sign.
Adverse camber.

If I was going to have a headstone, I'd like that on it. It's just so pleasing.

I like the word Glisten.
You see the word in your head when you say it all dewy and shiney and slightly hypnotic.

I also like the word Oxymoron in reference to the people I have met that look like they would be quite sharp but then they open their cakeholes and are dumb as posts, no offense to the posts!
"you are a walking oxymoron" great insult that they probably wont get!

Mine's a Spanish adjective: delgadita

It's the diminutive form of delgada (thin). It just sounds so little and tiny and cute!

Malicious. Rogue. Feral. Obsequious. Persnickety.

Sorry, I can't choose just one.

Sprogly's new favorite word is "definitely." E.g., Mommy: Sprogly, would you like some toast? Sprogly: Oh, yes, definitely!

I've been a big fan of the word gregarious for a long time.

One of my favorite words? Hubris.
