I really have no idea what forum this goes in, so apologies if I'm in the wrong place. I started wearing Tevas this spring when every regular shoe started hurting my feet (maybe bunion beginnings, my naturopath says). Now it's cold outside and so are my toes. Any idea what kind of shoe would fit like an open-toed sandal, but would keep my feet warm? My Tevas allowed me to walk many miles at once, but no other closed shoe has felt the same.

I wear Doc Martin Mary Janes, I find them very roomy and comfortable. I also have a pair of Ecco mary janes as well.

I wear a pair of rocket dog boots.

They are super comfy. My pair looks just like this. Mine aren't pink though they are a light tan color.

Naot slip-on mules. I HATE wearing shoes with backs, and even in the dead of winter these work great with nice socks (if I wear socks at all).

Ughs... opps, I mean Uggs.

I'm in Minnesota. Ya might be ok with Tevas in the summer. Your gonna lose toes in the winter if you don't wear something warm. For me, after trying more brands than I care to admit, I have found Uggs to be my best friends in winter

Thanks for the suggestions. I like the Merrell mocs and the Uggs and the Birkenstocks or Keens with socks. Wonder if a short person can get away with the short Uggs?

In the hot months I wear my ecco sandals all the time, even in the winter since it doesn't really get cold here

In winter months, I alternate between my mephisto walking shoes and doc martins. the docs are bad because I get tendonitis sometimes when I wear them due to me over compensating on one side for an injury on the other side, but hte mephistos are great. I can't live with out them.
