One of the guys my dad worked with (in the military) had the last name of Sample. I used to always ask if he got his name badges for free from the uniform store.

And he did work with a Lt. Col. Sanders too.

When I lived in Minneapolis, there was a chiropractor who had an office near the highway and I used to grin every time I saw his sign..."Dr. Poppenfuss"

Wrong, wrong, wrong! That is just horrible, but it reminds me, I forgot about one... I knew a Candy Hunt. That is just so wrong on so many levels. I always wondered if she changed her name when she grew up.

Teachers in High School:
Richard Hymen, yes he went by Dick.

Mr. Woods, which was fine until he got a student teacher, Mr. Beaver. Even if your mind isn't in the gutter, "Woody and the Beav" jokes abound.

And there's the guy on NPR, Trip Summer...

OMG! My dad had a teacher in high school called Master Bader. It was a Catholic school, and this guy Bader was a monk, all the monks went by Master, whereas all the priests went by Father. So this guys actual title was Master... a really unfortunate combination in a room full of teenage boys. The best part was the the dude TOTALLY got the nasty double entendre and would blush red every time the boys said it!
