S/o of the bridezilla thread ! We had a very small, inexpensive wedding... I think around $3,500.

((If you've been married more than once, pick your most expensive wedding.))

Also $0. We just signed the papers. I'm not big on weddings, much to my family's chagrin.

Have you seen the updated user agreement yet?

We had a semi-traditional wedding, because I like to give in to my mom!

I felt we did pretty good at around $8000, but was really peeved that A LOT of guests that rsvp'd were no shows. Errrrrrrg!

Much more expensive than I wanted, but it was extremely fun!

First wedding: around $5,000- I'm not sure if it was slightly above or slightly below that number, so I'm not sure how to vote.

Second wedding: about $300

I decided to vote for the 2nd wedding since I couldn't vote for more than one, and I'm not sure about the price of wedding #1 anyway.

About $750, $500 of that was the dress I decided I wanted 5 days before the wedding. We just had a simple outdoor ceremony in downtown Charleston, SC with just family and a couple close friends present.

We spent $2900 on our wedding but that includes the honeymoon and airfair since we got married half way through our trip.

Our reception was another $2500 but both sides of the family donated a $1000. It was very simple with 75 guests and friends as DJ's.

Including contributions from both sides of the family and our own spending, probably around $30,000 - $35,000, but if you include the honeymoon and incidentals, then $35,000+.

We were on the higher end, but that was because my mom paid for it and insisted that we go all the way. Overall doing that probably made it more stressful for me to plan, but since over half our guests came from far away it was nice to offer them a really good time. On the day of, most everyone had a blast, especially me and DH

We still saved some $ because the ceremony location was in a public park, which cost I think $30 to reserve the spot, something like that. And we did other things that kept it simple, by fancy wedding standards.

Under $1000!

We had a morning wedding. I got my dress in one of those places in NYC usually only open to "the trade" where they have samples for sale cheap. After the ceremony everyone walked (my grandpa drove the two of us in his grandpa-y Caddy) to an artists guild nearby housed in an old victorian. My mom cooked brunch -- salad nicoise, lots of quiches, homemade brioche, a ham, etc... We had champagne punch. We had a baker at shoprite who also is a cakemaker in his private life bake a gorgeous Italian wedding cake (with coconut and walnuts in the cake), and a local newspaper photographer and friend of the family took the pics--all candids, he gave us the film to have developed when we wanted. We did hire a harpist. A friend put flowers on the tables scattered around inside and on the lawn. Mostly potted cyclamens in antique pots. Beautiful. It was such a perfect day. And after brunch everyone could walk down to the water and the docks, and look at the artwork in the guild. Oh, and my mom and I made the favors -- we made three kinds of truffles -- strawberry with white chocolate, milk with milk, and rum with dark chocolate. What a pain, tempering all that chocolate, but they came out delicious and we boxed them in little gold boxes.

My wedding cost just under $5000. It was pretty traditional with about 95 guests. We were very fortunate that our town has a beautiful ballroom facility that needed no decorating other than centerpieces for the table. And the facility had only recently opened so we got it for a steal as they were trying to raise publicity. I got the simple, but elegant, wedding I had dreamed of for really not much money (by wedding standards, anyway).

I'd say that we spent about a grand total of $200...marriage license, cake, food included.

We had a destination wedding on the beach of Las Caletas in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Twleve people attended. All who came paid their own way. We paid for the ceremony, flowers, reception meal and our clothes. It cost about $3000. It was exactly what we wanted.

We only had the marriage license fee.

I had/have no interest in doing a wedding. DH and I have already decided we'll give our daughter a certain amount of money when/if she gets married. She can use that for a wedding, down payment on a house, honeymoon, whatever. But there's no way we're blowing thousands on a big ol' party.

$340

DH and I got married at the courthouse. The only expense was the rings, and dinner at an Italian restaurant afterward for the two of us and our two college friends who were witnesses.

Under $1000. And it was a fairly formal wedding...but I was married 35 years ago, and everything was much less then. Like, I bought my wedding dress at a bridal shop, brand new for $100! Got the bridesmaid dresses for $25 each. The hall for the reception was a $10 rental fee. My, my how things have changed!

Maybe about 1300? give or take. We married at an old schoolhouse turned Grange Hall, rented half of our attire, made our florals and decorations, and potlucked the dinner.

We payed the fee for the Star Trek Experience wedding, which I think was a little over $1000. And we bought little gifts to give to guests, probably $200 spent there.
Of course if you count our hotel and airfare then it's probably 2-3K. Everyone who came paid their own way, and my parents paid for the cake and dinner at Quark's off the regular menu.

We got married on the beach. Besides DP & me, it was the Justice of Peace, his wife & my parents. We all went out for lunch afterwards. I blought my dress off the rack at Bloomies.

So way under $1,000 for the wedding.

We did have a fancy cocktail party a few months later that was pretty $$$.
