The "b" and "c" word...I know they bother a lot of women, but, I've never been more bothered by them than I would any other word.

A very odd thing that DOES bother me: The Georgia State Quarters. I hate them. I seem to think they're omens of doom. I give them away if I get one. I have no good reason for hating them. Maybe I choked to death on peach cobbler while visiting relatives in Savannah in a past life. .

Yeah those don't bother me either. But I can also talk like a trucker and there isn't much that could make me blush.

Gas prices.

I know this *should* bother me, but I never even think about it unless someone else mentions it, and even then it doesn't register as a bad thing.

:

I'll be to be on the lookout for them...

I am unbothered by people sending their kids to school with a (clear) runny nose or a cough, though I think I might be the only mom in my town who doesn't go into orbit over this.

Seeing kids in mismatched clothes doesn't bother me, but it makes my MIL and SIL CRAZY. That makes visits with them all kinds of fun...

Older children sucking their thumb or paci's.

Children using swear words, as long as it isnt directed towards another person. Like, when my friends 2 year old fell down and said "oh s***".

I'd dress my kid up like a rainbow just for the pure pleasure of watching a nervous twitch form if my inlaws had such a silly problem with miss matched clothes.

I don't care what colors my kids wear or if their clothes match.

I also don't care if their clothes have characters on them. In fact I actually bought my ds a "King Kong" outfit once (Though I wouldn't have paid full price for it-I almost never buy new clothes for the kids and if I do I'm not willing to pay a lot)

Screaming/misbehaving children in public places. I try to look at the situation from the child's viewpoint. If you think about it, if you traded places with the child, you might want to scream too. Plus parents are often doing the best that they can to deal with the situation, having complete strangers roll their eyes or make comments isn't going to help anything.

I will take a crying baby over someone snoring any day. Snoring grates on me like you wouldn't believe. My dh sleeps downstairs now. He has not only been banned from the bed, but also the entire upstairs. If I hear it at all my blood boils.

I dunno.. after our last flight and what my daughter did to the poor woman sitting next to us, I might take a guy snoring over a fussy child. Not unless said snorer is likely to barf on me. 6 times. Oops. (I don't think that woman will ever eat bananas or pretzels ever again.)

I have many things that do not bother me that bother many other people a few of them other people have mentioned:

- dolls with bottles don't bother me at all.

- a child having a kids meal at a fast food place. I never judge people like that, but I know many people who do.

- parents drinking with their children around. Many people I knew growing up thought it was evil and I don't see a problem at all. I mean, if you're too drunk to function or realise what is going on, that is not cool, but just drinking some wine or whatever isn't a big deal to me.

- teenagers drinking alcohol with their parents. I definitely would never get my daughter drunk or let her get drunk at a young age, but a little bit of wine? Or champagne or beer on special occasions (new year, christmas, weddings, etc) is alright with me. Although I wouldn't give it to her friends!

- I don't care much about germs. I like to keep things disinfected and clean, but I'm not really crazy about it. But the funny part is on the flip side I'm disgusted when people wear shoes in the house. But where I come from it's a rude thing to do.

And I'm wondering which word the b word is supposed to be! Can someone pm me the answer? I have an idea of what it could be, but I don't know any woman who is really offended by it being used, so I'm thinking it has to be another word, but I can't think of another word that is really offensive and starts with a b. I am not offended by the c word, but I don't like it. I've only said it once in my life and I was really really mad... at my mother in-law!

The only thing on the first page that bothers me is dolls with bottles/pacis.

Pap tests make me nervous because I've had one come back abnormal, but they don't bother me in the sense that I want to avoid them . . . more like the weeks after, I worry about getting a bad result.

I will add:
-- parents who really, really want their kids to grow up and share their values
-- throwing up
-- being made fun of/insulted
-- kids in R rated movies (as long as they're not upset/creating a disturbance)

Probably lots more. I'm not easily bothered.

My first word, after the standard Ma Ma and Da Da, was s*** My mother lies and tells everyone my first word was "cat" instead, but only because I learned that other word from her I personally think it's hilarious.
