Giada de Laurentiis of the Food Network and her Husband welcomed a little baby girl this weekend. Her name is Jade which is a translation of Giada. I think that's cute.

'Twas via c-section.

Wow-is it just me or does a pregnancy fly by when it's not yours??
I want another squishy new baby. WAAAHHHH!
Having had one of each, I can tell you that I looked considerably better after the c/s than I did after the 18 hour VBAC. C'est lala.

Yes...looking at her little baby gave me total newborn lust.

Luckily, my youngest still has her chubby baby thighs.

awwww.. so sweet!

(Am I completely awful in thinking that BIG HEADS run in the family, thus the c-section.... ever noticed how BIG Giada's head is? She's beautiful but has a HUGE head...)

yea, yea, big heads aren't an excuse for a c-section..

Is it my imagination or is she wearing MAKEUP in the surgery photo??

Man o'man, makeup would've been the LAST thing on my mind going in for a C-sec. (FWIW, I had one too...)

She does look beautiful though and the baby is absolutely cute!

Mama to Emma (7) and Sarah (5)

Yeah, hope she enjoyed looking gorgeous for her C/S; little does she know, that's the last time in two months she'll have time to put on makeup, much less take a shower!

Cute little babe. Giada does look gorgeous too.

ETA...It doesn't really look to me like she has makeup on though...she would be beautiful with or without makeup, IMO. (said while I am green with envy )

Oh funny, in the comment section a woman mentioned she had a scheduled c-section and put make-up on.

If I knew my pic was going to be plastered over every magazine/ newspaper/ bb I'd probably get gussied up too. Otherwise the news would be, "what a haggard mum, are her kids aging her?", or "Giada diagnosed with some random awful disease!!!" complete with before and after photos!!! Rather smile, nod, and get home!!!

I've noticed the same thing, kinda like a bobble head IMO. She is very beautiful though.

I wonder if she scheduled the c-section. Her baby wasn't overly big.
