Technically it's not a vegetable, but corn!!! Yummy. It's best fresh picked off the stalk. Cukes are a close second. I haven't met a vegetable that I don't like though.

I can't pick just one! I like a bunch of different veggies: lettuce, asparagus, scallions, onions, tomatoes, peppers, sprouts, carrots, celery- and which ones I eat more of depend on what's in season and what I'm in the mood for.

How could you leave potatoes and tomatoes off the list? Potatoes are my favorite, and I imagine they'd probably be #1 in a nationwide poll. Runners-up include tomatoes and sweet corn.

Winter squash! I have made many a meal of a big old bowl of yummy, sweet squash with a little pat of butter all melty in the middle and just a tiny sprinkle of salt. Delish!

Snow peas fresh off the vine are a close second.

I voted spinach.
But corn is a grain, cucumber and peppers are fruits, and green beans and peas are legumes.

Other. Depends on what for. Cooked, I generally prefer a medley of root veggies. For an all-purpose do anything veggie, I turn to butternut squash. In stir fries, broccoli's the way to go. Raw snacking calls for carrots or bell peppers. Salads and sandwiches both need an assortment.

Another "artichoke" here!
Although that would closely be followed by asparagus and home-grown tomatoes.

I chose asparagus, but it totally depends on what is in season. In July it will be corn and tomatoes, in the fall winter squash.

I said brussell sprouts but that was a really hard decision. Spinach, artichokes, broccoli, cauliflower, brocoflower, it's all right up there. I could live on veggies.

While technically a fruit, of those foods listed, cucumber is my favorite.

I don't think of corn, peppers, or peas or some of the others as vegetables, either. Corn I think of as a grain, a starch like eating bread or pasta. Some of the others are fruits.
