I was going to say etsy too.

Also try hyenacart.com or universalmama.com
both have lots of cool stuff by WAHMs.

I see I'm a little late to the thread, but playsilks are super easy to dye. I get blanks from Dharma Trading Co and dye them with food coloring, easter egg dyes, kool aid and dye kits from JoAnn's.

If you get blanks, the most common silks are the Haboti silks.

I buy playsilks and also silk scarves from Joy. They are beautiful. You can email her and see what she has in stock. She just had a baby so her in stock stuff may not be online right now. She ships super quick.

I feel your pain. Canada is a retail wasteland, and shipping from the US can be a complete nightmare. We just relocated to the US, and wow has my online shopping been vastly simplified.

I can't count how many times DH or I have ranted about an ebay seller or an online store that refused to ship to Canada, refused Canadian credit cards, or shipped to Canada but had no clue what they were doing and it cost way more than it should have... "I said Canada, not Kyrgyzstan, for crying out loud!"
