Amazing test....just follow the instructions as quickly as possible.

Do not go to the next calculation before you have finished the previous one. You do not need to write or remember the answers, just do it using your mind. You'll be surprised.

Start:

How much is :

15+6

3+56

89+2

12+53

75+26

25+52

63+32

I know! Calculations are hard work but it's nearly over..

Come on, one more...

123+5

QUICK! THINK ABOUT A TOOL AND A COLOR!

Scroll further to the bottom...

A bit more...

You have just thought about a red hammer, haven't you????

If this is not the case, you are among 2% of people who have a "different" if not "abnormal" mind. 98% of the folks would answer a "red hammer" while doing this exercise.

If you do not believe this, pass it around and you'll see.

Those who chose a lime colored Bull dozer seek help immediately

Red hammer here

I once read that that's how tourists are easily ripped off in "psychic" places like India, by asking htem to think of a flower and then the "psychic" "seeing" that they're thinking about a red rose.

In linguistics this is called semantic prototypes ~ "hammer" being a very prototypical or "primary" tool etc.

Hee hee! I'm finally not a weirdo.

I did think of a red hammer. But I would think of red when asked to think of a color, because it's my favorite.

Red hammer here! HOW?? How does that work? Hammer I can maybe understand - it's such a common tool. But with color choices, I never pick red.

There seem to be a rather high percentage of 2%'ers here at MDC. Is it a strange brain attractor?

RED but not hammer. Ratcheting Socket Wrench. I have used one just about every day since I can remember (probably the most used tool by an auto mechanic) and I rarely use hammers....so I'm going to go ahead say....WTF?!?!?! How'd it know that so many ppl would say red hammer? It got me on that red part!
