: I understand! I actually enjoy it when we go away and I don't get on MDC as much, but I can't seem to make that happen at home with much regularity. Be free, boysrus, be free!~

Good for you, and good luck. I feel for you, and I know this'll be a good move for you, your family, and your home. I wish I could do the same, but I'm stuck in bed so much I have to do something! I'm glad you got to say goodbye. I've enjoyed your input over the years. Have a great life with your family! :

thanks everyone! I wish that I could just take a break and come back soemtimes, but I knwo it won't work. I just am not a moderate person!
I was running some numbers on this, and if I have spent 2-3 hours per day on here (which, sadly, would be low some days) I have spent between 6 months and almost a year of my life online. Isn't that crazy? It is definitely a huge wake up call to me

You will be very missed. I hate to see you leave, but I totally get it. I have severely limited my time on MDC for several of your same reasons. I was losing the ability to think for myself. I was almost becoming a sheeple. I was spending too much time here and not enough with my dd. (I was always naking so the baby was being held at least) I get it. Do what ya gotta do. I hope you can come back in time.

I understand- and I think this is something for all of us to look at.

To my husband I am wife, to my kids I am mother, but for myself I am just me.

I'll miss you but I completely understand. I know I spend way too much time online too and it's hard to break that habit. Kudos to you for actually breaking free!

I have a love-hate relationship with message boards. I have actually made a few friends this way, and have found some good support and information, but on balance being here (and other places on the internet) has not been good for me. I rationalize that it's just a diversion, but the reality is that continually comparing myself with other mothers fuels a negative view of myself.

I think you've done a great service by telling us that you're leaving and why. I realize I need to leave "Dissident Daughter" behind and get on with my life.

I know you may never see this message, but I am wondering if it really is possible for a member to delete her account.
