What a lovely interview. The pictures are just adorable.

New signature, same old me: Ann- mama of 2 boys and 2 girls, partnered to a fabulous man.
I'm an unintentional weasel feeder and I suck at proofreading.

Very sweet. It sounds like they are very loving parents and enjoying life together. Breastfeeding, and making their own baby food, too!

And family baths! Awww. Nicole looks SO healthy (especially compared to pics of her from her party girl days). I'm happy for her.

Nicole: "No electronic toys. There's plenty out there in nature to enjoy. She loves flowers in the garden."

:

I am so happy to have read this. I was once a lot like the former Nicole- hard parties, alcoholism, eating disorders. Now that I've got my beautiful daughter, all I care about is nurturing her and making her world a beautiful place. Children really do make their parents into better people.

Go celebrity nursers!
Christina Aguilera is still nursing HER 9mo too. Just the other day she mentioned that she wanted her son to know her as an artist, not just "someone who changes diapers and breastfeeds"

What a great interview. I never liked NR up until she had a babe and got out of her funk. I don't want to read the whole interview until i get the mag. I'm a gossip mag junkie

It IS a cute article and I'm very glad a celebrity is breastfeeding. However, keep in mind that celebrities have PR agents who slant and are careful to project the celebrity's chosen image of themselves.

I'm a big Nicole fan as it is, and this just is the cherry on top.

And little Harlow looks SOOOOO much like Daddy. So adorable.

Of COURSE she has PR agents, but it does not mean that she would openly talk about breastfeeding on a plane, in a culture where a lot of people still think, "ewwww, breastfeeding in public"

Here is a new Christina Aguilera quote about nursing her 9-month-old too. All these mamas I never expected! I'm really glad.

Quote:
"I'm in love with my life," she says, although parting with her son to perform can be a drag. "But Mama has to work, Mama has to do a job."

She adds, "I think it's important to share what I love – what makes me me – with my son. So. I change diapers and I breastfeed him and I play with him and then I work. I want to show Max everything about me."

At the same time, keep in mind that celebrities are people, too who make similar choices to ours. Not everyone is trying to pull the wool over the public's eyes.

Sorry to break the happy mood here, but....

Quote:
...A couple weeks ago they fell asleep on the plane, and there was this guy, and his two teenage daughters wanted to take pictures of her. I was like, "Hey, she's asleep now. Maybe when we get off the plane, you guys can take a picture." The guy just stood up, turned around and started taking pictures of her, and I kind of got into it with him. I was like, "I can't believe you're arguing with me. This is my newborn daughter and my girlfriend."...
Can you believe that?!???!? Some people have some serious nerve!! I hope he didn't get any pictures, and if he did, I hope they confiscated his film. What a thing to teach your teen daughters, at that!

I don't think you can plan anything about having a child. It's something so completely new, so you just have to go with whatever works for you. There's a million different ways to be a mom.
I really was impressed with her on a whole and love what she said about nature, bfing and the above quote!
