I have a super crampy feeling in my hip that sort of travels down my leg a little. I can tell my uterus is stretching because on both sides, near my pubic area, it's a little crampy too. I'm just shocked that I am feeling this already at 15 weeks! Anyone feeling hip pain yet? I'm thinking a warm bath will help... and maybe a pillow between my legs at night.

http://www.drbackman.com/piriformis-muscle-stretch.htm

Very important! Most of the pregnant women I massage (heck, most of the people I massage!) have a very tight piriformis and it makes life very annoying.

You can google "piriformis stretch" and get different positions.

Very gentle stretch! You want to feel a slight tug but no pain, especially with things loosening with pregnancy.

And I always have hip pain. It's one of the joys of my life. Hope this helps. :)

I had hip pains even earlier than that, I used a hot water bottle before I went to bed and it helped.

Yep, feeling them here. I waddle through the last half of the pg but never this early. I put DS down to bed the other night, came downstairs and realized I was waddling because my pelvis/hips were sore. Same last night. eyesroll.gif

Oooh yes, I've totally got a tight piriformis and often a bit of hip pain to go with it. It hasn't gotten worse now but that stretch definitely helps me. Also putting a pillow between my legs when I sleep.

I had one day where I felt like I was sore from riding a horse. I had to
waddle while at work! My mw recommended light stretching and going to the chiropractor.
