I wanted my OB to sweep my membranes last week and told me that my cervix was too far back to reach to do it.

This might sound crazy, but does anyone have any suggestions for making my cervix more "reachable" so she can sweep the membranes at my appt this afternoon??

Awww, sorry to say that nope, there's nothing you can do to make your cervix more accessible, lol. Only baby and your body can do that! Any reason you're so anxious to have your membranes swept? It's really not so fun and doesn't work unless you're already about to start labor on your own...

Loving mama to ds C (6/07) and dd N (11/08). Joyously welcomed our rainbow1284.gif, dd2 A (8/11).

Bah!  She could barely reach it again today.  Good news is baby's head is very, very low and I'm having fairly regular contractions.  FX this labor starts on its own soon!

Today was the first time in 3 pregnancies my midwife was able to reach to do a membrane sweep. It was very uncomfortable and I haven't had any contractions yet. I'm hoping it'll do something!

At least you're contracting- keep it up!
