William Scott finally arrived Aug11. He was 8lbs, 13oz and 22 inches long. It ended in a c-section, after stalling at 9cm for 12 hours. His head was posterior and asynclitic. I had a beautiful labor at home until I spent several hours at 9cm and begged to transfer for pain relief. I'm so glad I did. He was never able to descend, and I got sectioned in the evening. I'll write out more details another time, we're just getting home and settled.
I'm really ok with how it all went down. There was a reason he didn't descend, and I gave it my all. Every birth is different, and this one needed interventions :)
Baby is awesome, big brother is awesome, and I'm feeling really good when my pain is controlled!
Can't wait to go sift through all the updates! Looks like LOTS of babies have been born!!

Congratulations! It sounds like a really wonderful birth -- you must have been so in tune with your body and baby to know that you needed to leave your home and go to the hospital . We can't wait to see pictures of him once you've had time to rest and recover!

Oh Copper, so VERY glad that both you and baby are okay! This is one story where I am SO glad there was medical intervention available to help you get baby safely into this world. And 12 hours at 9cm... Superwoman much!? I'm sure after basically going through the whole labor experience, and then the section too, that your body is still pretty darned exhausted! I hope that you're getting lots of rest, that nursing is going well, and that you are enjoying your new little life. Big congrats to you mama!!!

Thanks ladies!! I don't want to take credit for enduring 12 hours at 9cm without meds-- I got an epidural after about 4 hours! :)
Copper, your birth sounds a lot like the birth I had with DS, only it was 8cm for me, but for the same reasons. Glad both of you are well and home.
Rest, rest, rest and let your body heal.
Congratulations & welcome baby William
