Our baby was born with the sac totally intact, I have been researching how rare it is and what a special blessing it is to be born that way, anyone else know more on this...

My little Ella was born in the caul.. My water broke seconds before she was born and she had the "veil" of he sack on her. Midwife had to lift it up so she could breathe. I didn't know anything about it until my midwife said she was born in the caul and it means she's destin for great things.

My midwife did say it was rare, but that's probably because birth is so managed. It would be less rare if doctors didn't break so many women's water...

I know what you mean about breaking the waters and that being the reason its so rare. Its interesting though! When Fenix was born, the sac was complete, waters were inside. I wish I would have been on the other end to see it , really. My husband then broke the sac and cleaned her off and all. I hear that it is a super special blessing to be born that way, with special things to come for that little person in their lifetime. Some say they will never drown , others say they have special powers? very neat!
