How many of you, besides me, found out that you were pregnant on Chrismas? Were you trying to concieve, or was it a complete sursprise? Just curious
I also found out on New Year's Eve- wanted to test before any parties
Found out the morning after Christmas but had obvious signs on Christmas night. We were trying to conceive but it was still a big shock.
Active self employed momma to my amazing son with down syndrome born 8/24/11, wife to the most amazing husband ever, expecting baby #2 on September 5th, 2012, exactly 1 year from my sons original due date. Currently sharing our crazy household with 1 house rabbit, 3 exotic lizards, 1 guinea pig...
On Christmas. I was maybe a day late, but CF looked different than normal pre-AF, and I wanted to be sure before I shared a bottle of wine with my sister that evening... It was a great gift for DH, who was totally surprised - he knew I'd had what I thought was normal pre-AF spotting, in retrospect implantation
I meant to test on Christmas because I was pretty sure that I should have had a period by now (this pregnancy caught my first PPAF egg so my cycle is waaay off), but, honestly, two young kids, too much family, too many gifts...I was just spent on Christmas day!

We found out on Christmas! We had been trying for seven months so it was a very welcome BFP. When I first saw that faint line, my immediate thought was "It's a Christmas miracle!" Then when I showed my husband, he said the same thing! What makes it funny is that we are both atheists :). We were still celebrating Christmas with my family, though. It was really hard not to tell them!
I didn't find out until the 30th. I'm sure I could have gotten a positive on Christmas day, since I was 10dpo then, but I just didn't even think pregnancy was a possibility this month. This cycle was a m/c cycle, I'm only 4 months pp, and my cervical fluid was awful and our timing wasn't good - we just dtd once 3 days before O. I guess it was meant to be! I took a test on the 30th fully well expecting it to be negative. I almost fell into the bathtub when I saw two lines! Good thing I tested; I was planning to get hammered on New Year's Eve! :)

We found out Christmas Eve morning. AF wasn't due until the 27th but I knew my family, and my father-in-law in particular, would be pushing me to drink so I wanted to test early, and I didn't want to test while staying in a house full of family that I did not want to tell right away, that excitement is a little hard to hide. We had been trying since August, so about 5 months, we were going to take a short break from trying after this month. I usually get about a week of pre-AF cramping and spotting, which I was getting, so I thought for sure it would be a BFN, instead we got the best Christmas present ever!
Found out Jan 2nd. My period was due New Year's Eve and I was definitely feeling pregnant. I figured I'd wait to see if I started on New Year's day and when I didn't I picked up a test for the morning of the 2nd. I had my IUD out in September due to partial expulsion but we weren't actively TTC until December. We are very excited!!
Two wonderful boys born Aug 2009 and Sept 2011, and #3 due April 2015! I'm also a CLC and postpartum doula.
Those are such awesome stories! For me, I had a few symptoms on Christmas but didn't think it was really possible since I had a miscarriage last month, we were using w/d and we only had sex once or twice.. I took the test on Chrismas night and had to squint to make sure I wasn't seeing things We weren't trying, and we were talking about a vas after last month but a this point we've accepted it and I'm starting to get pretty excited!
We found out 2 days before Christmas. We had been TTC for 3 years and had to do IVF (and 2 frozen cycles). We had just done a transfer on the 13th and we were heading to our families on the morning that we found. We had been trying to decide whether or not to test early (we were not supposed to test until Dec 28) and DH wanted me to wait until Christmas day atleast. I woke up that morning and decided to test anyways. I POAS and brushed my teeth, telling myself the whole time not to get dissappointed about it being negative and its really early. I didn't see the second line at first but when I tilted it, there the line was clear as day. I couldn't believe it, I started shaking and crying. I grabbed some clothes and my camera, threw the lights on in the bedroom, my poor DH was sound asleep and handed him the test. LOL, he jumped up and had the funniest look on his face, glad I video taped it. We hugged and kissed and cried and jumped around. You couldn't wipe the smile off our faces all day.
Christmas day we wrapped up a little hockey onsie with our last name on the back and let each of our parents open it up. No one knew we were cycling, so everyone was very suprised. It was awesome to be able to share that with themon Christmas morning.
found out Christmas night! I was happy, we were open to another, but hubby needed more time to process it, it happened really fast this time, 1 pp af and tada! Now he is happy and excited and thinking about what this little one will be(girl/boy) thinking names, so I know he is happy, but at first he was overwhelmed, I think his exact words were "oh, Im not sure Im ready for this"....I said "you weren't saying that when you made the baby!" ~
