I have only recently heard of the GAPS diet, and I'm curious if any of you know anything about it? Tried it? Do it? Safe while pregnant (mostly just the beginning/intro phase, is it enough calories--given I'm just weeks from the 3rd trimester, I wouldn't want to be way under in calories). Any tips?

I've heard of it, but don't know too much about it. I think that it would severely limit your diet, since I'm pretty sure you have to cut out most foods for the first stage.

I've been doing GAPS for the last few months to improve my gut flora - it's strict and difficult to keep up with all of the cooking . . . but my husband and I have never felt better! And we didn't have any major health problems. There are a couple of yahoo groups, lots of websites, you could start with looking up Natasha Campbell McBride, she's wrote the GAPS book and has done a ton of interviews you could find on youtube. GAPS is broken into 'Intro' and 'Full Gaps', you shouldn't do intro while pregnant or nursing but Full Gaps is a very healthy way to eat while you're pregnant or nursing. Good luck!
