It's sunny and bright here, but boy, is it still cold out! It was Hospitality Sunday at church after Mass, so I stuffed both my girls full of donut holes, which saves me having to make them lunch. Bad mama! I am still battling nausea, even though I hit 13 weeks yesterday and was hoping it was on its last legs... Oh well, maybe next week! Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

Still have nausea at almost 13 weeks here, too! =(   Although it seems to be off and on lately as opposed to all day, everyday... so I guess that's a plus.  I still have general abdominal pain almost constantly though... any other twin mamas have this??

I had my 12 week u/s on Thursday at 12w, 3d.  Both babies had strong heartbeats and looked good; Baby A measured at 12w 4d and Baby B measured at 12w 6d.  Baby's A gestational sac is smaller than Baby B's though, but the specialist isn't worried about it at this point since Baby A's growth is still right on track.

My m/s has been on and off, mostly off (9 weeks 2 days today). I had horrible, horrible m/s with my youngest two so I'm kinda excited. I'm also kinda nervous that my little nausea means something bad but at 8 week u/s everything was perfect so I'm trying to reassure myself with that.

13 weeks here and I have been mostly nausea-free for at least a week now. It still rears its head from time to time, but it's mostly gone.

First spotlight thread is up. Please post questions!

I'm feeling pretty grateful for how well I have been feeling. As long as I don't wait too long to eat I don't have to much nausea. I'm 11 weeks now.

I'm feeling on and off OK and terrible the last few days.  I'm about 11.5 weeks now, so I'm really hoping I'll start having more good days than bad soon.

I'm excited that some of us are in the third trimester!  Congratultions to you ladies!!

12 weeks today, last week I got a horrible headache at night, three times, made me feel like a great mama and wifeeyesroll.gif Still have some nausea but I am hopeful it is on its way out the door.

DS 2nd birthday was yesterday and we took him to the train museum which he loved. He kept running around saying "more train, more train". He also got a train set from DH and I which he loves.

I have an appointment with my midwife this week and I am hoping to hear the heartbeat!!

12w + 4d here ... and barfed twice in the last few days and nearly barfed countless times more.

What the heck?

I do have more energy now, thankfully!

Here's hoping all of our nausea eases off soon!

11 weeks and 1 day today.

I'm still nauseous sometimes but it is getting better. Evenings are still difficult for me and keeping dinner down is still a 50/50.

BUT I have an ultrasound on Friday and I will get to see the baby so I'm looking forward to that.

10 weeks along and still feeling tired/crappy.  All the grandparents know The Big News now and are very excited.  My mom is home after being in the hospital for 4 days following her spinal surgery (things went well, although she ended up having a lot of leakage the first day of recovery and needed a blood transfusion).  So, I'm trying to be kinda available to her and my dad, but am glad they know that I'm in the first trimester so that I don't seem like the "slacker daughter" to them (my sister has been really good about spending lots of time with my mom almost every day...but she doesn't have a toddler and isn't preggo and didn't just have her in-laws visiting).  My dad did tease me/give me grief yesterday when I said that the spicy shrimp tempura sushi rolls I brought over were for me to eat (I have a history of not sharing...but it's always been dessert-specific)...it actually felt kinda mean of him...but I was like, "hey, I knew I was going to be here for several hours and had no idea what you might have to eat in the house and knew that I would need to eat something semi-substantial...so lay off!"

My stomach is getting a bit better. I did throw up last thursday, but I was trying to swallow a pill for a headache and that wasn't gonna happen.

Then last week my daughter got chicken pox. I have already had it, thank god. I am still waiting for her brother to get them, but he hasn't show any pox yet. They have been out of school since last friday and now I'm starting to wonder if I should send him back to school or not- sometimes symptoms don't show up for 3 weeks!

At least my MIL took the kids on sunday and will be keeping my daughter through the pox so Dh and I can keep going to school.

I thought I would have all this energy to get so much done while they are gone, but alas it's very cold for early spring and I just want to stay in bed and warm.

I will at least put some laundry away tonight, and that will be something.

Thursday I will see the midwives and get to hear the heartbeat, hopefully. I am so excited! I think after I hear the heartbeat I can finally breathe a sigh of relief, and maybe announce it on FB, which I haven't yet.

This is a great week so far.

Today I am 11 weeks, and it is always exciting to have a fetus birthday!

I had my semi-annual review with my boss this afternoon, which went really well.  I also mentioned I'd like to discuss taking additional "supplementary leave" beyond maternity leave, and he is absolutely willing to discuss.

Thursday is my initial visit with the midwifes, as well as my birthday.  Tomorrow is the last day I'll ever be 28 again!  I'm excited to have the inital visit on my b-day, because I get to leave work early, and then DH is taking me out to dinner (thai food).

Yesterday my mom sent me the SWEETEST package for my birthday week- it was all pregnancy related.  She sent me 6 maternity tops, a skirt, and a bella band.  She lives in Colorado, so I know she's been missing getting to watch my belly grow (she depends on my weekly pictures, which I didn't send this week).  It totally made my day and made me feel so special.

I lost two more pounds.  I'm pretty depressed by this.  I'm eleven weeks and down ten.  I met with a dietician today who asked me what I was eating for meals (how much protein, how much calcium) and I stammered out that I had four cheese sticks and a blue slushie, neither of which stayed down.  I'm seeing their doc on Friday and I'm desperately hoping that they will give me some zofran or something.  After almost crying in her office, she told me that sprite and prenatal vitamins counted too...I managed half a smoothie today so far.  I hate this, I'm so tired and weak from not being able to eat, but I am also hopeful that it is supposed to get better.  Right?

I'm trying to keep my spirits up, I really am.

I'm a social worker, I work with homeless folks with mental illnesses, and I'm having such a hard time giving enough of myself.  I'm just exhausted.

Happy early birthday, Amy May!

Hooray for all the mamas who are starting to feel better. Very gentle hugs to those who aren't.

livacreature, that sounds so miserable. I am so sorry you are having such a rough time. I hope the doc can help. I can only imagine how much more difficult that would make your job. I hope your BGs are fine.

I started a continuous glucose monitor this week and oh my goodness it's so much fun. I have so much data! And it woke me out of a dangerous hypo (low blood sugar) a few nights ago, so it's already doing its job. My last blood test came back with absolutely beautiful numbers, and this will only help, so I am very pleased.

Blood sugars are still holding pretty good (yay!).  That is probably the one thing that is keeping me from going completely nuts.  I might get on a CGM in a few weeks through my new endo.  I had one a few years ago, it seemed unnecessary then, but now it seems like something handy.  Great news on the blood readings!

Livacreature, I'm thinking all sorts of good thoughts for you.  I'm so, so sorry, your situation sounds absolutely miserable.  I know your job asks for a lot but remember the whole "oxygen on the airplane" thing-- you have to take care of yourself first.  Take care, b

Thanks for posting and caring about what's going on with me, livacreature, and here I look you up to find out that you've been going through some rough times yourself.

It should definitely get better.  One thing a friend who had been through awful m/s was that you should eat what sounds good when you can.  If that means popcorn, eat that.  If it means Sprite, great.  Just try to eat little and often and whatever appeals to you.  When I came out of a bout with a stomach virus combined with m/s I wanted brownies and cold pizza... thought those things would be too heavy for my stomach, but seemed to be just what I needed.

However, you may need an anti-nausea pill or other treatment - I hope that your appointment with the doc goes well!

livacreature, so sorry you're so sick all the time.  It's just not fair that this has to be so bad for some people.  :(

I was 12 weeks yesterday and we did our NT ultrasound and got our first look at this little person inside me.  It was amazing!  The baby looked just like all the 12 week babies on Youtube, and even did a jump for us!  We saw arms and legs and fingers and feet and a heart and a stomach and a head and eyes and a nose and a mouth, and it was so cute and moving around and lovely.  I am so proud.  orngbiggrin.gif

The pictures they gave us weren't great - we had a much better, non-blurry view of the baby's profile in some of the other moments, but this is the one they managed to capture.  Still, pretty great really.  I love the little hands/fingers.

I'm 13 weeks today!  I can hardly believe how fast the time is going already.

I've spent the last 2.5 weeks with a sick family, a high fever for several days followed by coughing, slowly rotating through all my my kids and my husband.  My youngest child was the first to get sick, and he even got sick *again* after everyone else had it.  What a nightmare.  I've been so very trapped in the house!  But it looks like everyone else is on the mend - except for me, now.  I think I might be lucky enough to skip the fever, but I'm getting a sore throat and a cough.  Lovely.  Sigh.  But, in those 2.5 weeks, I hardly ever made it to the gym to workout, and my diet went to pot, as well, with me eating more of whatever I wanted (and whatever was on hand), rather than being more mindful about greens, veggies, fruits, etc.  I somehow still managed to hold steady with my weight!!  I'm very happy about that, since my belly is definitely bigger, and I started out overweight.  I'd love to see absolutely no weight gain for a while yet (while maintaining a good diet), and so far I'm -5 from my starting weight overall.  :)

We woke up to snow on the ground here in Colorado yesterday... but in just a couple days we're going to hit temperatures near 80!  I'm so happy about that!!  Well, I'm not looking forward to a hot summer, but I'm so ready for jacket-less weather!

How much cramping is normal? I'm at 12w and I get strong cramps 1-3 times a day. After watching ultrasound bids, I'm assuming it is just the little one stretching me out with all its wiggling, but I thought I'd ask.

Blessings mamas who are still miserable...here's hoping it's better very soon. Joy mamas who are feeling good and hitting milestones.

It's been a big week for me.

Friday was my 12 week mark and my first appointment with my mw. It was great. We heard a lovely heartbeat. I'm mostly done with ms now and my appetite has gone nuts. I look at food and think "that'll never be enough" lol it usually is... I started walking 2.5 miles each day...I meant to be doing it all along but finally I am! I'm sleeping better...peeing only 2-3 times a night and not every hour. I think I'm feeling little flutters a couple times a day...wow!

Friday my love and I went on a retreat and we got there early and went for a walk. On the walk he proposed....I'm getting married this august...hello maternity wedding dress....luckily it will be pretty casual....I was thinking it would be funny (but maybe inappropriate) to do a shotgun wedding type photo..lol I wonder if my dad would participate.

Have a good week ladies!
