...my GBS test came back negative! I was positive with my first, and I didn't get tested with my second due to not having healthcare coverage but they hooked me to an IV and administered the antibiotics just in case. I had no doubt that I would be positive again, but lo and behold, the test was negative! I was completely shocked.

And in other news, the little dude is finally head down at 36w5d! I am so thrilled and so relieved, I feel like everything is falling into place. Blood glucose levels are normal again, BP is great, and on Saturday I will be 37 weeks. Everything is set and ready, whenever this little guy feels like making his earth-side debut, he can safely do so. Yay!

Yay, Iris! Such a relief, huh?

I'm 37 weeks on Saturday too! I just did my GBS swab yesterday so not sure of the results, but everything else is looking good!

that is great! I hope that mine comes back negative too, after 2 positive tests in previous pregnancies I have been assuming it would be again. Its always good to hear positive stories. I am starting the probiotics in earnest right now in hopes of helping improve my own internal flora. (plus, it won't hurt and might be healthy for me and the baby even if it doesn't help with GBS...)

That's awesome! and head down too! Yay!!! Sending you a virtual *high five*!
I just had my gbs test today, won't know the results until next week. (I was neg with the first two.) I have quick labours, so I'm not sure what the heck to do if I do test positive, as the antibiotics would never be administered in time...eek.

Thanks for the warm replies everyone! I think my imagination and relief ran away with me today, because for most of the day I have had crazy Braxton-Hicks, crazy baby activity, and pelvic pressure. At some point I started thinking I was about to go into labor. Meanwhile, I can't find even a trace of my cervix, that's how high it still is, and baby has not dropped either. rolleyes.gif He will stay put for a while longer I think, but my mind is in full childbirth mode lol.
